Tonight at 8p, 9-1-1 is back on ABC with a three-part season premiere event that will bee keeping you on the edge of your seats.
For those of us who watch the 9-1-1 shows, we know that Ryan Murphy teases us with spectacular multi-episode events, and then they don’t deliver until the last episode. However, that is not the case with Beenado. The action begins after the first commercial break.
The episode starts off with a bang, and it doesn’t stop after that.
Captain Nash (Peter Krause) left Station 118, and now there is a new man in charge, Captain Vincent Gerrard (Brian Thompson). He hates Buck (Oliver Stark) and punishes him all of the time. He is the toughest on Buck, but he is tough on everyone. Therefore, they don’t like him. And neither do I.
Not only is he a jerk, but he is also not the best in the field. His old ways don’t work anymore. And that is going to lead to problems when they are called out to assist with a truck that jackknifed on the freeway.
Normally, that is an easy thing to clean up. However, this truck was carrying 20 million killer bees, and they got loose after the accident.
Now, they are all the buzz in Los Angeles because the city is being attacked by bees, which can kill with their stings.
When I watched the promo, I was like this looks like fun, especially because it is on the other side of the hill. But then they come to Valley, and now it has a different meaning for me.
I am scared of bees, even in movies and TV, and in the premiere episode, the bees flew to a town close to where I live. So, I haven’t slept since I watched the episode.
Having said that, I still enjoyed the episode.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Athena (Angela Bassett) is sent out of town to bring a prisoner back to Los Angeles. Nothing about it goes smoothly, so much so that she would rather deal with the bees.
On Dancing with Stars, we see the dancers preparing for their dances. Then, on show night, we see their hard work come to fruition. However, we never see them the morning after because it is not pretty.
Don’t believe me? Here is Reggie VelJohnson getting a massage gun treatment done on his sore leg. When his dance partner, Emma Slater, asks him if he is laughing or crying, he tells her he doesn’t know. That is, until the magic man hits the right spot! Then he knows what feeling that gave him!
Poor Reggie. At least he has a supportive partner who is taking really good care of him.
Did you know that in 2002, Diddy opened for *NSYNC? He did, and yesterday on Watch What Happens Live, Lance Bass told Andy Cohen he hates him.
It is not because the Rapper didn’t invite the band to his parties, which, as we know, is a good thing. It is because, on the last tour date with the boy band, Bass says that Diddy told Justin Timberlake, “You need to drop these F’ers. You need to go solo.”
After that, the singer says he doesn’t like the man who is sitting behind bars for several heinous crimes.
I can’t say blame Bass because Timberlake went solo and left them all high and dry.
However, now that Timberlake had a shitty summer due to a DWI arrest, and poor sales for his album and tour, he is in talks to reunite with Bass, JC Chasez. Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, according to Bass.
The Rock has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, but his party trick doesn’t involve his sleeves.
DJ sat down with Entertainment Weekly, and they asked him what his party trick is. He told them he has two.
The first one is for kids and does Maui for them. He even has pecks dance for them while he sings a song from the film. And I am sure they love it.
His other one is not PG-13. “With tequilla, I do this thing where I can pick up a grape,” he said. What is so special and naughty about that? He added, “Not with my hands. Not my feet. Not even my mouth,” he told them, much to the dismay of his publicist.
I love that one so much. I want to see him do it. I can do it too! Not with my hands, feet, mouth, or butt.
Hoda Kotb had a massive announcement to make this morning on Today. After 16 years of being part of the family and 7 sitting on the couch next to Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie, she will be departing the morning news shows in the new year.
And family is a big reason why she is saying goodbye. She wants to spend more time with her daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, whom she had later in life.
The host explained when and why she decided it was time to move on.”I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and to try something new,” she said. “I remembered standing outside looking at these beautiful bunch of people [at the birthday party they threw for her live on the air in August] with these gorgeous signs, and I thought, ‘This is what the top of the wave feels like for me.’ And I thought it can’t get better, and I decided that this is the right time for me to kind of move on.”
After she told the audience she was departing, her co-anchors, including Craig Melvin, Jenna Bush, and Sheinelle Jones, cried along with her.
I just have to say, has anyone had a job where they cried with their co-worker when they announced that they resigned? I haven’t.
I have a feeling we are going to see lots of tributes and tears until the final episode. It will be nauseating.
