Lopez vs Lopez is back for its second season on NBC, Tuesday nights at 8p for an hour. This year, they are bringing the big names.

In the coming weeks, we will see Tisha Campbell, Lisa Rinna, Jaime Camil, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, Marshawn Lynch, Diana Maria Riva, and Cheech Marin & Tommy Chong.

Tonight at 8p, the Lopezes go to a swap meet. George tries to tell his daughter Mayan’s boyfriend, Quinten (Matt Shively), how to barter. Can the nice guy get tough?

Then, at 8:30p, Quinten and Mayan are fighting because they are both too busy at work to do their house chores. Quinten thinks that Mayan can do more because she works out of the house. But she says she is too busy being a manager to do that. Can they come to a compromise before it is too late for the relationship?

And then there is Brice Gonzalez, who plays Chance, Mayan and Quinten’s son. He is still the awwwwdorable scene stealer he was last season! You can’t help but to love the little guy!

CBS renews NCIS and The Neighborhood
April 9th, 2024 under CBS, NCIS. [ Comments: none ]

Today is a good day for some of the CBS shows. Earlier today, they renewed FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.

And now they announced that they want more of Monday night’s shows The Neighborhood and NCIS.

“THE NEIGHBORHOOD and NCIS are the very best definition of a CBS comedy and drama,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “They embody authentic storytelling with heart, humor and family dynamics. We are proud to bring them back next season.”

The only Monday night show waiting to find out its fate is NCIS: Hawaii. I wonder if they will cancel it so they can have an NCIS only night with the Mothership, NCIS: Sydney, and NCIS: Origins.

CBS sticks with three FBIs
April 9th, 2024 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

In 2018, CBS got into the Dick Wolf business with FBI. Since then, they added two more shows to the franchise, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.

All three shows are doing well. Therefore, it should not be a surprise that CBS picked all of them up for next season today.

“The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fanbase steadily across multiple seasons. We are excited to see what next season holds for all these heroic characters.”

With these renewals, 8 out of Wolf Entertainment’s 9 scripted shows will be on the schedule next season. The only series waiting to hear its fate is Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Jimmy Fallon and Heart sing Total Eclipse of the Heart
April 9th, 2024 under Heart, Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

Heart were the musical guests on The Tonight Show yesterday, and Jimmy Fallon wanted to perform a duet with them.

In honor of the Total Solar Eclipse, they sang Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart as it was happening.

And that makes sense because there was a Total Eclipse and Ann and Nancy Wilson’s band’s name in Heart.

What doesn’t make sense is why the host overacted in their performance. Not everything needs to be Saturday Night Livey. It is OK to be serious every now and again, like with this song. It would have been so much better.
