Before Tony Shalhoub was a neurotic detective on Monk, he was a pushy reporter on Ryan’s Hope. How funny was the 33-year-old in that 1987 episode?

Stephen Colbert suffered a ruptured appendix
November 27th, 2023 under Stephen Colbert. [ Comments: none ]

Scott Kowalchyk/CBS

Stephen Colbert is taking this week off from The Late Show, and it is not because he partied too much during Thanksgiving.

“Sorry to say that I have to cancel our shows this week. I’m sure you’re thinking,
‘Turkey overdose, Steve? Gravy boat capsize?'” he wrote. “Actually, I’m recovering from surgery for a ruptured appendix. I’m grateful to my doctors for their care and to Evie and the kids for putting up with me. Going forward, all emails to my appendix will be handled by my pancreas.”

Hopefully, he will be better soon and back at work next week.

This is not the first time he has missed a week of shows this season. He also missed a week due to COVID in October.

Is Sting’s butt music heard on Roxanne?
November 27th, 2023 under The Police. [ Comments: none ]

It has been over 45 years since The Police recorded their breakout song, Roxanne, and Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers shared a truth about the breakout single.

For years there has been a rumor that you can hear Sting’s butt hit the piano keys at the beginning of the tune. Is it true? “True,” the guitarist said, “He walked across the studio as we’re still recording, and he sat on the piano.”

Why did they keep it? Because Summers explained, “It was sort of a punk, irrelevant thing to do.”

So now you will hear that sound and think of Sting’s flat butt making beautiful music as it hit the ivories. Want to have that image in your head now, then click here!

Seth Meyers shows off his turkids!
November 27th, 2023 under Seth Meyers. [ Comments: none ]

Seth Meyers has two Thanksgiving traditions. The first is he brings his parents, Hilary and Laurence, and younger brother, Josh, onto Late Night for the holiday to dish about family secrets.

While they are old enough to be on his NBC late night show, his children are not. Therefore, he shares a sweet video of Ashe, 7, Axel, 5, and Addie, 2, dressed as turkeys to wish us a happy holiday! And I want to gobble them up because they are so scrumptious.

But not as scrumptious as his dog Frisbee, who is dressed as a pilgrim because why should he be left out of the mix?
