They Might Be Giants was supposed to perform overseas starting on October 2nd. However, today, they announced that they will be postponing their tour.
We regret to announce that we have to postpone our upcoming tours of Australia, England, Ireland, and Scotland due to immediate health issues. These temporary complications should be resolved in the coming months. We are eagerly looking forward to these shows which will now happen next year (this was the earliest we could secure the shows with the continuity of a tour). And yes, these will all still be super-deluxe “An Evening with” shows with two sets including all of Flood. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and your patience is most appreciated.
They did not say which John has the “immediate health issues” and what they were. But hopefully, he will be better soon.
This is not the first time they have had to postpone a tour in recent years. John Flansburgh was involved in a car accident in NYC on the way back from a gig in June 2022 and needed to take time off to recuperate.
So many people want to see Ricky Gervais do his thing in person that he became a Guinness World Record Holder because of them.
The comedian made this year’s book for the Highest Gross for a Single Stand-Up Performance. He earned that title when he sold out the Hollywood Bowl on May 6, 2023, and made $1,790,206.50 for the one-night stand.
Gervais said, “As if packing out The Hollywood Bowl wasn’t enough, now Guinness World Records wants to put me in their big book. What a year!”
His Armageddon tour is still going strong. If you missed his record-breaking performance or any of the other shows, don’t worry. Netflix will air his comedy special when the tour concludes.
UPDATE: Ricky Gervais wrote his comment on social media, “When I was little, I’d get the The Guinness Book of Records for xmas every year. The whole family would read it. I think my mum would be prouder of me being in this book than anything else I’ve done ❤️”
The Crown started the series off with Queen Elizabeth’s wedding to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947, and now it looks like they are going to end with her death.
That is because Netflix gave an update on the show’s future. The streamer announced, “After six seasons, seven years and three casts, The Crown comes to an end later this year.”
So this season, we will see Prince Charles marry Camilla Bowles, Princess Di’s fatal accident, Prince William and Kate Middleton meet, fall in love and get married, Prince Harry saying I do to Meghan Markle and I don’t to the Royal family, and finally, the death of the woman who started it all.
Because what else is there to tell? I mean, they are caught up to today. So, anything else would be a bigger lie than what they have been telling.
Courteney Cox dropped her daughter, Coco, off at college. So that means that she is officially an empty nester. So she moved out of her house and into a nest with her two dogs, Lily and Bear.
Too bad she doesn’t have any Friends to be her roommates like in the old days.
If someone would’ve told you that The Simpsons would predict the future better than The Jetsons, you would think they were crazy. But they are sane.
The animated sitcom has predicted things like the 2014 Super Bowl winner and Donald Trump was going to be president. And they have predicted something else about the latter.
In 1994, they wrote that there was going to be a Barbie movie and that the president was going to be arrested. And that came true this summer.
I need to meet the psychic on their writing staff because they do a better job of predicting the future than the woman I have been paying for years.
