Quincy Jones turned 90 in March, and the Hollywood Bowl celebrated his milestone this weekend. They even brought out the stars like Patti Austin and Jennifer Hudson to honor him by singing for him.
And yesterday, they had a special surprise for him. They got Stevie Wonder to sing his Happy Birthday song to him. I can’t think of a better way for the legendary producer to celebrate his big year than that.
So thank you to Lopez vs Lopez’s Mayan Lopez for sharing this video because all birthday parties should have this!
Now, let’s talk about the singer. He is looking and sounding really good at 73!
There is a new Saw film coming out on September 29th, and it looks like Saw X will be filled with tons of torture.
John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most chilling installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.
I grew up on Horror, but I am not into torture porn. I miss the days when the killers weren’t just psychopaths who killed in the most twisted and sickest ways possible. That is why I am not a fan of most modern-day Horror. Am I the only one who feels this way?
Tonight at 8p, Family Law tackles the different stages of love, both in their personal lives and in their professional ones.
Now that Daniel (Zach Smadu) is a member of the 40 Under 40 club, he is ready to start dating again. So he is going to go on a dating app to meet his Mrs. Right. And just because what she writes sounds perfect doesn’t mean she is.
Daniel’s dad, Harry (Victor Garber), takes on a case of betrothed online influencers who are working out a prenup. They are having problems coming eye to eye on their demands, and that might end their relationship.
Meanwhile, Daniel and his sister, Abby (Jewel Staite), are hired by a mail-order bride who is trying to save her 2-month marriage so that she can stay in the country. Just when they think that they have found a way to stop the annulment, the judge rules against them. Will they be able to keep her in the country?
Daniel and Abby’s sister, Lucy (Genelle Williams), is not ready to see her marriage end. But she might get the realization that there is nothing she can do to get back with her ex.
And then there is Abby and her husband, Frank (Luke Camilleri), or should I say, ex-husband. Now that they agreed to get a divorce, it is time for them to tell their children the news. How will they react?
Like I said, they go through all the spectrums of relationships in this episode, which makes us ponder what is love and why do we fight for it.
I know because it gives you a family. If Harry didn’t sleep around, then Abby wouldn’t have a brother and sister to help her through this difficult time in her life. And they wouldn’t have her.
And that is what I adore about this legal drama. At the end of the day, it is about a family who works in a law firm. And they have each others’ backs in the courtroom, in the office, and at home.
It is officially Halloween season. Take that, Labor Day and Jewish Holidays! So Universal is announcing a few more of the haunted houses that they will have at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
They already announced that Stranger Things and The Last of Us videogame will be scaring visitors. And today, they revealed that they will be joined by Universal’s legendary monsters, Chucky, and The Exorcist: Believer. The latter hits movie theaters on Friday the 13th. So by, not knowing what to expect will make that destination the scariest.
As scary as these all sound. I am bummed that they aren’t bringing back Killer Klowns from Outer Space. I even made a cotton candy cocoon suit for the occasion. Maybe next year!
However, this year the fun begins at Universal Orlando Resort on September 1st – November 4th and at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 7th – October 31st.

It has been 42 years since Rick Springfield told us that he wishes he had a girl like Jessie’s Girl. But does he know what happened to that girl from his stained glass class?
That is what Daily Blast Live wanted to know when he was on the show yesterday. “No one has come up to me and said it was me,” he told the hosts. “Oprah [Winfrey] tried to find her. She went back and found the stained glass class, but the guy had died two years before. And they threw out all of his paperwork a year before she got there.”
Does it bother him that this beautiful stranger has never been found? “I think it is good that no one puts a real face to it. Everyone can put their own face to it.”
Just think, somewhere out there, there is a woman who doesn’t know that one of the most famous songs in the world is about her. I wonder how Jenny, Mandy, Jolene, Sherry, Stacy’s Mom, and Sharona feel about that?
