Jamie Foxx was supposed to host Beat Shazam again this summer with his daughter Corrine, but he suffered an undisclosed medical complication. Therefore, Fox needed someone to fill in for the ailing host, and they went with Nick Cannon.
Today, Cannon was interviewed by Extra, and he talked about how it all went down. “It was a lot. It was over text and emails,” he said. “I was actually working on something else, and they say, ‘Jamie wants you to do this.’ And I was like, ‘I’ll do anything for Jamie.’ Once I got the blessing, I’m there. I got the blessing from him and Corinne [Foxx].”
Does Cannon have the blessing to disclose what is wrong with Foxx? He does not, and he is going to respect the actor’s privacy. Then he added that when Foxx is ready to talk about it, he will. But until then, they are going to put out the information they want out there and not what some asshole wants to make up without any proof.
On that note. Can we talk about sad Billy Bush sounds trying to be all hip while talking to Cannon? In the words of K.C. and the Sunshine Band, “Baby, give it up. Give it up. Baby, give it up!”
Today is June 1st, and the start of Pride Month. In honor of its LGBTQ+ and ally customers, Habit Burger is selling a Rainbow Shake.
The shake features vanilla ice cream blended with rainbow cereal, strawberry, and passionfruit purees, blue raspberry syrup and finished with whipped cream sprinkled with crunchy rainbow cereal.
And instead of a cherry on top, they are donating $1 (up to $50,000) from every shake sold to It Gets Better.
I don’t know if it is because Fruity Pebbles is my favorite cereal, but that shake looks so freaking delicious! And at $5.39, I am sure I will be helping Habit Burger donate a lot of money to It Gets Better. As long as I forget that I am lactose intolerant.
Billy Joel is a NYC staple. And because of that, he has played Madison Square Garden every month since January 2014. However, that is coming to an end in July 2024 with his 150th show at the Manhattan arena.
“I’m kind of flabbergasted that it lasted as long as it did. My team tells me that we could continue to sell tickets, but ten years, 150 shows – all right already!” said Joel. “I do remember the first time we played Madison Square Garden, it was the pinnacle of my career. I thought, ‘My God, I’m headlining Madison Square Garden.’ Everybody in the world knows when you play The Garden, it’s not just New York. To our audience, I want to thank them for coming to our shows for this long. It’s hard to end, even at 150 lifetime shows. I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful thing that’s happened here.”
Joel played his first show at MSG on December 14, 1978. Then 35 years later, he announced his monthly residency.
While the 74-year-old’s time at MSG is coming to an end, his career is not. He will continue to tour, just not at the place he has called home 150 times.

I am a Queer As Folk girl, so I didn’t watch Sex and the City. But I have a lot of friends who did. They also watched And Just Like That and were not fans of the sequel series.
After watching the trailer for season 2, I think they are going to like it even less. What happened to the fun they used to have?
If they get a season 3, they need to bring back the fun, fashion, and food! Less of the dramatics.
