Before Zoe Perry played her mother Laurie Metcalf’s younger self on Young Sheldon, she already did it on Roseanne. How cute was the 8-year-old in that 1992 episode?
Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were on The Howard Stern Show yesterday, and they talked about how they came up with their name.
Before they went by Kiss, they were known as Wicked Lester. And they were also considering going by FUCK. Simmons explained why “The first record could be ‘It.’ The second one could be ‘You.’ But it wasn’t serious.” I would’ve taken them totally seriously if they did that for all 20 of their studio albums. Could you imagine ‘Off,’ ‘That Noise,’ ‘Up,’ and ‘Like Rabbits?’
So how did they come up with the name? Stanley said they were driving in the car, and it just came to him. Kiss is a universal word that everyone knows what it is when they hear it. Plus, it has so many different meanings, like kiss of death and kiss of passion.
And finally, does KISS stand for anything like Knights in Satan’s Service? Stanley said, “We’re smart. But we are not that smart.”
I think they are smart because they have been around for 50 years, and they are still going strong. Even if they are retiring from the road this year. Seriously, their feet have to hurt after wearing platform shoes for half a century, so they earned their retirement from touring.
Tonight at 8:30p on CBS’s Ghosts, Samantha (Rose McIver) has written Captain Isaac Higgintoot’s (Brandon Scott Jones) biography, and she is pitching it to publishers. Well, just one, because all of the other ones have turned her down. Will this Founding Father’s story finally be told?
If that is not enough pressure for Sam, her archnemesis from journalism school is staying at the Woodstone Manor B&B. So, Sam feels like she needs to be more successful than she is. So what happens when her old school enemy finds out about the book? Will Sam tell her it has been published?
She is not the only one having a bad day. Flower (Sheila Carrasco), the hippie, doesn’t like her new boyfriend Thor’s (Devan Chandler Long) anger, so he asks Pete (Richie Moriarty) to help him manage his temper. Can Pete teach a 1,100-year-old Viking how to be calmer? I mean, after 1,000 years, Thor has settled into his ways.
And finally, there is Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Trevor (Asher Grodman), who are trying to keep their relationship a secret. How far will they go to their torrid affair, hush hush?
Ghosts does a lot in a half hour, and it is never enough time for this show. It should be three hours long because I can never get enough of it.
It is happiness wrapped up into a ball with a lot of naughtiness mixed in.
We know that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is ending this season, but we didn’t know when we were going to see those final episodes. Now, we do.
Prime Video will debut three episodes on April 14th, and then we will get one a week until the series final on May 26th.
What can we expect? After burning bridges and being cut from tour, Midge Maisel persisted through Season Four, rebuilding her career and reputation. The final moments of the season culminated with Midge leaving Carnegie Hall reinvigorated and ready to weather any blizzard. After an epiphany in front of The Gordon Ford Show’s snowy billboard, Midge is ready to “Go forward” and fight for her ascent to stardom – equipped with her quick wit and sharp tongue, and nothing else to lose.
In the fifth and final season, Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away.
Since this is their last chance to go as big as they want, I think they are going to go enormous. And I can’t wait to watch every second of the mishigas.
The Resident has been a bubble show for most of its six-season run. However, their chances of getting another season from Fox are looking grim.
That is because Peachtree Battle Estate Sales & Liquidation in Atlanta listed this “Own a Piece of Hollywood! Major Network Medical Drama Prop & Wardrobe Liquidation” on their site. The pictures show a bunch of items from a warehouse with some boxes that have the label “The Resident” on them and another label in another photo that reads “Padma’s condo.” Padma is a character on the medical drama. Plus, the show films in Atlanta. Therefore, it sounds like the items belong to the series.
So, is it cancelled? A source told me, “No decision has yet been made one way or another.” So it looks like we are just going to have to wait until May to find out. And last year, Fox went all the way up until right before announcing their schedule to tell us the show was renewed for another season.
If you are interested in owning a part of the mystery medical show, then the sale is going live from March 22nd-March 25th.
