Zoe Saldana responds to being the first person to star in 4 films that made over $2 billion
January 24th, 2023 under Zoe Saldana. [ Comments: none ]

When you think of all of the huge movie stars like The Rock, Mark Wahlberg, Vin Diesel, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, and Shia LaBeouf, you would think that one of them would be the first one to star in four of the films that grossed over $2 billion. And you would be wrong.

That title goes to little Zoe Saldana, who stars in 4 of the only 6 films that have made that much money. They are Avatar which made $2.92 billion in 2009, followed by The Avengers: Endgame with $2.97 billion in 2019, Avengers: Infinity War which earned $2.04 billion the year before that, and finally, last year’s Avatar: The Way Of Water which has already made $2,026,675,670 and counting.

Not bad for a Puerto Rican/Dominican girl from NYC who probably weighs around 100 pounds.

And how does she feel about the honor? She wrote, “Wow! What can I say about today? It has been a rollercoaster of emotions for sure. Gratitude for the acknowledgment, and absolute exhilaration that I get to wake up every morning and go do what I love. Never in a million years did I ever aim to make history by being in these movies. I’ve always been lucky to have been chosen and asked to join these amazing, groundbreaking projects.

“Thank you to @jamescameronofficial @jamesgunn and @therussobrothers for trusting me with their vision.

“Thank YOU to all our fans for making these movies what they are today- history in the making!❤️”

I have been following her career since she made a little film called Center Stage. And now she is taking center stage in the biggest movies ever made.

Congrats! I can’t wait to see what blockbusters she does next!

Madonna cancels herself for herself
January 24th, 2023 under Madonna. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2020, Madonna announced that she was going to direct a biopic about herself. Even though it was rumored that Julia Garner was going to play the singer, there was no word of a start date for the film.

Today, Variety is reporting that there is never going to be a start date for the scrapped movie at Universal because Madonna is going on a massive world tour instead.

Oh, well. We will just have to wait for someone else to tell her story and make her life even cheesier than it already is!

Drew Barrymore does the M3GAN Dance as M3GAN
January 24th, 2023 under Blumhouse, Drew Barrymore. [ Comments: none ]

People on social media are doing the M3GAN Dance. It is the biggest dance craze since the Wednesday Dance in December.

Since Drew Barrymore is not going to miss an opportunity to be part of a trend, she jumped on the bandwagon. And because she is who she is, the actress one-upped everyone and did it dressed as M3GAN.

Did she make the Model 3 Generative Android proud? I hope so because I saw the movie, and you don’t want to be on the doll’s bad side.

BTW The real reason why Drew is dressed as M3GAN is because she is going to interview Allison Williams tomorrow on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Turf war at the Goonies House!
January 24th, 2023 under 80s. [ Comments: none ]

A couple of months ago, the house that was seen in The Goonies was up for sale, and Behman Zakeri bought it. He obviously bought the house because he is a big fan of the movie.

Sadly, the woman two doors down is not a fan of all of the traffic it brings to the neighborhood, so she made a sign that reads “Goonies Not Welcome.”

Well, the new owner responded with his own sign that says, “Hey you guys! Goonies welcome!”

To make matters worse for the Mama Fratelli, the neighbor in between wrote, “Ignore Karen” with an arrow pointing at her house.

She messed with the wrong people, and that is why Goonies never die.

KGW got a tour of inside the house. To see what it looks like, then click here!

Congrats to Jamie Lee Curtis on her first Oscar nomination
January 24th, 2023 under Jamie Lee Curtis, Oscars. [ Comments: none ]

Jamie Lee Curtis is 64 years old, a Hollywood legacy, and has been acting for over 45 years. Throughout her remarkable and diverse career, she has starred in many acclaimed movies and has been recognized for her work. But never by AMPAS.

Today, after all of her hard work, she is finally being recognized by the Academy Awards because she finally received her first Oscar nomination. She is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Everything, Everywhere, All At Once.

This is an honor that she has long deserved. Not only for her acting but also because she has inspired and mentored those who came after her and has remained humble throughout it all.

So, I say congrats to her and everyone else from Everything, Everywhere, All At Once for their 11 nominations. Hopefully, they will sweep the Oscars on March 12th.
