Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith decided to have a race during NBA on TNT yesterday, and O’Neal had only one rule. Not to cheat.
However, Smith doesn’t like rules. So, he pushed Shaq, and the NBA giant fell down into the huge Christmas tree. And the pine didn’t even flinch.
That is one sturdy tree. Now, I and other cat owners want to know their secret. Because I have seen 7 lbs, kitties take down the sturdiest of trees. Yet, when a 300 lbs, 7’1″, NBA analyst crashed down onto one, it didn’t even budge. It lost several pines and a few branches, but it didn’t move. It is a Christmas miracle.
And it is also a Christmas miracle that Shaq didn’t retaliate. Because if I were him, I would have lifted Smith up and put him on top of one of the smaller trees like an angel.
Oh, and can we talk about how Ernie Johnson tried to lift the fallen Shaq up? Like he was going to be able to do that on his own. There is not enough adrenaline in the world for that to have happened.
Harry Styles’ movie Don’t Worry Darling won People’s Drama Movie at the People’s Choice Awards yesterday, and his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Wilde, who directed the universally trashed film, accepted the award. Which is fine because he was busy.
However, I bet NBC and PCA wish they didn’t tell her ahead of time that she won. Perhaps then, she would not have worn a see-thru lace gown that showed off her nipples on broadcast TV. And as we know, the Bible belt is going to complain, and the network is going to get fined.
However, my problem is that I, as a woman, and maybe because I am getting older, don’t think we should be showing off our bodies like that. Have some respect for yourself and others.
Is she only her boobs? Does she want to be taken seriously as an actress who made the switch over to directing? Because I only see someone desperate for attention like a Kardashian.
The worst thing to happen at an awards show this year was when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. We all know that.
The second worst thing happened last night at the People’s Choice Awards. The cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills presented Mariska Hargitay with the People’s Drama TV Star. Then they stayed on the stage during her acceptance speech, which is fine.
However, Kathy Hilton opted to go through her clutch, which she brought up with her, to find her lipstick and applied it as the Law & Order: SVU actress was still talking. Then the hotel heiress kept touching her lips to make sure it was evenly applied.
But Hilton wasn’t done there. As Hargitay was saying that we should choose kindness, compassion, and courage, Hilton seemed to sigh. Guess she wasn’t listening to the actress’ words.
And now Hilton has me siding with Lisa Rinna in their catfight.
One last note. Hilton’s actions prove that money doesn’t buy you class.
Shania Twain was honored with the Music Icon Award at the People’s Choice Awards tonight, and she wore an outfit like she did in her music video That Don’t Impress Me Much.
As the Country singer did in 1999, she showed off her tone abs. And that makes me wonder, how can she really be 57 years old because her stomach looks so much better now than it did 23 years ago. And it was near perfect back then.
