Quantum Leap leaps into a second season |

Even though it is still 2022, NBC announced today that they picked up Quantum Leap for a second season.
“We’re leaping into a second season thanks to the incredible work by our cast, producers, writers and everyone who has played a role in giving this iconic NBC series a new life,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “As we continue to bring audiences to our must-watch dramas, it’s gratifying to know ‘Quantum Leap’ will have a prominent place next season both on our NBC schedule and next day on Peacock.”
The sequel, which stars Raymond Lee, Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee, is the #2 new show in the 18-49 demo. So the renewal should come as no surprise.
Plus, it is a really good show that is finding its groovy with each leap.

James Cameron to miss Avatar: The Way of Water premiere due to COVID |

James Cameron and the cast of Avatar: The Way of Water hit up London, Tokyo, and South Korea over the last week. However, the director has to pull out of tonight’s Hollywood premiere because he tested positive for COVID-19, according to Variety.
Cameron, 68. is not the only director to contract COVID-19 recently. Steven Spielberg missed the Gotham Awards on November 28th because he had coronavirus. He is better and back doing press for The Fablemans.
The second Avatar movie opens nationwide this weekend.
UPDATE: James Cameron spoke with Deadline. “I am in LA, just back from Tokyo, and I managed to pick up Covid on the plane, so I’m isolated and can’t go to my own premiere tonight,” the director said. “The number of people I’ve told over the years, ‘ah, we’ll catch up and I’ll see you at the premiere…well, I guess not. Man proposes, and God disposes.”
Oh well, there is always the next Avatar movie.

Don’t know what to get that person who has everything for Christmas, then buy them the Pee-Wee Herman Chia Pet which is out now. It is the perfect addition to any window that needs a little something to brighten it up!
I know having him look at me with green hair would make me smile, just like the real thing does every time I see Paul Reubens on our televisions.
BTW Did you know that you can use regular Chia seeds if you run out of the ones that come with the original packaging? I learned that last week on my Buy Nothing group, and I am still blown away by that fact.
