In a few months, Hilary Swank is going to have as many kids as she does Oscars. That is because she is expecting twins with her husband, Philip Schneider, of four years.
The actress, 48, made the announcement on Good Morning America this morning while promoting her show Alaska Daily. She did not say if her pregnancy will be written into the drama that premieres on Thursday at 10p.
Does anyone else find it funny that the couple who spells their names with one L is going to have two kids?
Chucky is back at 9p on Syfy, and he is ready to kill. He and his army of Chuckys.
The episode starts out with Jake (Zackary Arthur) and Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) saying goodbye to each other to go live with their new foster families. You know, since Chucky killed their parents and guardians last season.
Six months go by, and they have not seen each other. Then Jake gets a call, and it is from a familiar voice. It is Chucky.
Chucky is back, and there are more of him. Now he and his clones are after Devon and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Lexy is not the same girl that she was before Chucky upended her life. She is a bad girl, and you can’t blame her. After all, Chucky killed her dad, her mom lost her job as Mayor, and her boyfriend sided with the killer doll over her.
Anyways, it is Halloween, and Chucky is back. So Jake decides to have a reunion with his friends in order to warn them that their murderous enemy is back.
What happens next leads to the three of them being sent to Catholic school. And guess who follows him there and starts killing people off? Yes, it is Chucky. And now they are going to have to fight him and all the evil nuns and priests who don’t believe that there is a doll going around killing people. Would you?
I wouldn’t, but I do believe Don Mancini’s latest take of his creation. You have to respect a producer who can constantly change up his creation and still make it enjoyable to watch. That is why he is still making new content for his baby, and the others are living in the past.
We are used to good looking vampires like Robert Pattison, Ian Somerhalder, and Brad Pitt. However, Jacob Batalon, who plays Reginald, is not like them, and that is what makes him so special.
Reginald is not the best looking guy with some extra pounds on him, and he works at Slushy Shack. He doesn’t have many friends and can’t get the girl he wants.
However, one night he meets two women who are going to change his life and make him undead. Well, not them, but Maurice (Mandela Van Peebles) will take a bite out of him and make him a vampire.
Maurice will be by his side and teach him the ways of a vampire. And their ways are not necessarily the ways we have been taught.
While his sire is all for his creation, the other Vamps are not.
So he has a lot to deal with in his life/death. He still needs to work and deal with being the person who he was before he was bitten. But he also has to deal with being the creature he is now. And that includes sucking on his co-workers.
You are going to root for Reginald the Vampire even though no one is going to do it. It is hard not to like him, and this different take on a classic story we know so well.
I don’t know about you, but I am sick of creature features that take forever to get to the kill. Croc is not one of those movies. It starts off with a double meal for the killer crocodile as a preview of his appetite; then, it gives him a little time to build up his hunger before it lets him kill until the credits roll.
Lisa King (Sian Altman) has picked the perfect remote spot for her wedding, and she can’t wait to say I do. What could go wrong? So, so, so, much can and will go wrong.
Unbeknownst to her, her groom-to-be, Charlie (George Nettleton), has been having an affair with one of her bridesmaids. The two of them go off to have one more fling before the wedding, and that is when we first see the Croc at this party. He eats the girl, and Charlie gets away.
He decides to tell no one but Lisa’s dad, Dylan (Mark Haldor), about what happened. When Dylan goes to investigate the scene, the croc takes a bite out of his leg, and he can’t warn anyone. He can’t even call the police because they can’t get a signal.
Finally, it is time for the wedding. Everything is going as planned as the priest reads their vows. But then, the croc comes for his supper and eats the photographer. Once he gets a taste of the guests, he is not going to stop until he devours everyone who was invited to Lisa’s special day.
Is there any way to stop the murderous creature? I am sure there is, but I am enjoying his killing spree. It is not that I wanted them to die, which is rare in horror movies these days, but I was enjoying watching him kill everyone in his path. Especially since they did an excellent job making the sea monster look so real with the CGI.
That is what creature features are all about, the killings, not the plot. And he does a lot of killing! So, writer/director Paul W. Franklin gives us just what we and the croc crave, plenty of blood.
The film that is distributed from Uncork’d Entertainment is available on DVD and Digital today. Get it before it gets you…
