The Blue Jays annihilated the Red Sox at Fenway Park yesterday, to put it mildly. The Toronto team scored 28 runs with 11 in the 5th inning.
That is just one of the many jaw-dropping feats that the baseball team accomplished. They also scored that many runs on the road, hit an inside-the-park grand slam, achieved the HR cycle (solo, 2-run, 3-run, grand slam), and had a player with 6+ hits in a 9-inning game.
According to StatsByStats, “Those 4 feats had never all occurred in the same MLB season, let alone by one team in one game.”
The two teams go head to head again this afternoon. If I were Boston, I would stay home and drown my sorrows in some Sam Adams.
And since I am a girl from The Bronx, I am drinking champagne over their monumental loss of 28-5.
There is one more epic fail you need to see. It took three players to miss a simple pop-up.
Earlier this week, Velveeta announced that they teamed up with BLT Restaurants for a cocktail they called the Veltini. Basically, it is a martini with Velveeta cheese and green olives. If you like those things, then you will like the drink. If you don’t, then you won’t.
Today on Today, Jenna Bush tried the drink first. She enjoyed it and told her co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, to take a sip. What did she think? She hated it, to put it mildly. Her face reminded me of a little kid that tries something they hate, like liver, or my grandmother when she tried sashimi for the first time.
And that is why I love it when Hoda and Jenna try new things. They don’t hide their feelings when they hate something. Now, if only they could see our faces so they can see how we feel about one of them.
Loverboy is on the road with Styx and REO Speedwagon. This weekend, there were going to play three shows in Texas. But they announced yesterday that they were pulling out of them “out of an abundance of caution.”
However, they didn’t say why and their fans were not happy with that. Actually, they were downright mean. So today, the group explained why they will not be performing with the other two bands.
“We wanted to further clarify, that a couple members of Loverboy and our crew
contracted COVID-19, so unfortunately, we are unable to perform this weekend in Texas,” Loverboy wrote. “We wanted to let you guys know that symptoms have been mild, so far, and we expect to be back out on tour with our friends REO Speedwagon and Styx next month beginning in Virginia.”
Hopefully, this explanation will make their Texas fans fall in love with Loverboy again. If not, who cares? It is Texas.
Zac Efron broke the internet today. No, he sadly did not pose naked again. However, he returned to his high school, where he performed in three of their musicals.
That’s right! He was in Utah and visited East High for his 16th reunion.
While that is cool and all, what makes it cooler is that he posed like Judd Nelson at the end of The Breakfast Club and said, “Don’t you… Forget about me ✊🏼”
And that is the best thing the Wildcat has done since the franchise. Yeah, I said that. Are you going to contradict me? Didn’t think so.
