Tonight we said goodbye to Rebecca Pearson as her children and grandchildren prepared for her funeral on This Is Us. NBC wanted to make it as realistic as possible, so they created programs for the beloved matriarch.
Mandy Moore, who played the part, shared what was inside the program. Below is what was written to honor her.
Rebecca Pearson was loved by many. Her love story with her first husband, Jack Pearson, inspired everyone around her. She was fortunate to find love again with Miguel Rivas, her second husband Rebecca is survived by her beloved three children, Kate (Philip) Pearson, Kevin (Sophie) Pearson, and Randall (Beth) Pearson; and her grandchildren Deia. Tess, Annie, Jack, Hailey, Nicky, and Franny.
Take the risks. Make the big moves, even if they’re small moves. Forge ahead with your lives in any and every direction that moves you. I’m asking you to be fearless.
Rebecca Pearson
Thank you to Dan Fogelman for creating a show about a family we all fell in love with. Now, get back to comedy because I am sick of crying.
Before Jim Parsons worked for JPL on The Big Bang Theory, he worked in an office in 10 Items or Less. He looks the same now as he did when he was 32 in that 2006 movie.
CBS has pulled tonight’s FBI season finale due to a horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
The episode titled Prodigal Son was described as, “As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case.”
CBS made the right decision.
I don’t have much more to say because my heart is broken for our country. There were two awful mass shootings in the last two weeks by 18-year-olds. And sadly, it is going to keep happening.
UPDATE: Missy Peregrym, who is on maternity leave and not in the episode, had this to say, “Nothing I say here will satisfy the depth of grief I feel for the families of this heartbreaking and hateful reality. I commend @cbstv for pulling the finale.”
