Anti-vaxxer Eric Clapton got the COVID!
May 17th, 2022 under Coronavirus. [ Comments: none ]

Eric Clapton is postponing his upcoming shows because he has COVID-19. You know, that plague he won’t get vaccinated against.

Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from Covid having tested positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall. He has been told by his medical advisors that if he were to resume traveling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, Promoters, their staff and of course the fans.

So, after intensive internal discussion, it has been decided with great regret and apologies to all those concerned to postpone the performances in Zurich on 17th May and Milan on 18th May, the present hope being to be able to resume the tour starting with the concerts in Bologna on 20th and 21st May.

It is very frustrating that having avoided Covid throughout lockdown and throughout the period when travel restrictions have been in place Eric should have succumbed to Covid at this point in time, but we very much hope he will be sufficiently recovered by the end of the week to be able to perform the remainder of the planned performances.

Clapton cares so much about his fans that he is willing to perform while he is still testing positive for coronavirus. Therefore, he is risking their health.

And his concert is not one worth getting COVID over. I saw him once, and I am happy the tickets were free. It was so dull I felt the air conditioner. If he was that much of a yawn 20 years ago, then imagine how sleep-inducing his shows are now.

Stay home and listen to his old stuff. This way, you can save the money on a show that will put you to sleep. Seriously, I am yawning just thinking about it.

ABC announces its 2022-2023 schedule

ABC went into last season pretty weak, and this season they look to be even weaker.

In case you didn’t hear, the network moved Dancing with the Stars to Disney+. They are replacing with Bachelor in Paradise. It will be interesting to see if people will tune into it. It is definitely a different audience. That, and is two nights of it going to be overkill? I think so.

Wednesday is a huge mistake. The Conners and The Goldbergs are way passed their expiration dates and need to be put out of our misery. I say that, and I suffer watching them every week. So many people love Abbott Elementary, ABC’s only family-friendly comedy, so it should’ve been airing at 8p instead of 9p. It also should’ve been paired with The Wonder Years. I don’t know what they see in Home Economics. Wednesday is a colossal failure.

The rest is what it is. What do you think? Oh, I won’t say that Not Dead Yet is total Ghosts ripoff.

8:00 p.m. “Bachelor in Paradise”
10:00 p.m. “The Good Doctor”

Bob Mackie is not a fan of Kim Kardashian wearing his Marilyn Monroe dress
May 17th, 2022 under The Kardashians. [ Comments: none ]

Kim Kardashian/Instagram

Kim Kardashian wore a dress that Bob Mackie sketched for Marilyn Monroe to wear to sing Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. It was a one-of-a-kind dress, so what did the legendary designer think about it?

“I thought it was a big mistake,” Mackie told Entertainment Weekly. “[Marilyn] was a goddess. A crazy goddess, but a goddess. She was just fabulous. Nobody photographs like that. And it was done for her. It was designed for her. Nobody else should be seen in that dress.”

Mackie is 100% correct. It was his design, and it was designed for only one person to fit her every curve perfectly.

Kardashian might be able to use her money and influence to get whatever she wants. However, that doesn’t mean she should. I hope she learned a lesson from this because she was rightfully panned for this decision for so many reasons. The biggest one being she looked hideous in it.

Mackie knows how to make a woman look spectacular, as he has done for women like Marilyn, Cher, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, and Carol Burnett.

Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni are the Beauty and the Beast
May 17th, 2022 under Chris Meloni, Mariska Hargitay. [ Comments: none ]

Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni attended the NBC upfronts yesterday. The actress wore a bright yellow pantsuit, while her partner in crime donned a three-piece suit with a blue jacket.

Someone made the observation that they looked like Belle and the Beast. And they are so right.

I hope the writers of Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: CI do a crossover episode with Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler dressed as Beauty and the Beast characters. How perfect would that be? And then this way we can all be their guest!
