For the last year, Dylan McDermott has been co-starring in Law & Order: Criminal Intent as a criminal. Sadly for fans of the procedural, his time is up. However, for fans of Dick Wolf, he is just about to get started on FBI: Most Wanted.

This weekend, CBS announced that Julian McMahon is leaving the show in March. Today, Deadline is reporting that McDermott will be replacing him.

No word how McDermott’s character will be written out, but we will see him on the CBS show beginning in April.

Before Julian McMahon was sleeping with all the women he could on Nip/Tuck, he was a one-woman man in Dannii Minogue’s This Is It. He looks the same now as he did when he was 24 in that 1993 music video.

January 24th, 2022 under CBS, Chuck Lorre, Ghosts. [ Comments: none ]

CBS announced today that they are picking up Ghosts, The Neighborhood, and Bob Hearts Abishola for another season. The three shows will join Young Sheldon and CSI: Vegas on the 2022-2023 schedule.

“We’re thrilled to bring back television’s four most-watched comedies for next season, and I’m proud of the incredible team that maintains CBS’ position as the clear leader in comedy,” said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. “Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, together with a breakout cast and exceptional writers, have done a superb job of adapting GHOSTS for the U.S. and absolutely making it their own. This smart and charming show is delivering new creative highs, not to mention scaring up new audience highs, every week.”

“And on Mondays, the perfect pairing of THE NEIGHBORHOOD and BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA continues to deftly blend belly laughs with relatable and culturally relevant storylines, thanks to these exceptionally talented actors and outstanding creative teams,” Kahl continued.

Ghosts has been the surprise hit of the Fall. Each week the show has been finding more and more viewers, and they are sticking around. That is the power of the heartfelt, funny comedy that makes you fall in love with it at first sight.

Peleton strikes again, gives another scripted character a heart attack
January 24th, 2022 under Showtime. [ Comments: none ]

Last month, And Just Like that killed off Mr. Big with a heart attack after he used his Peleton. Well, the writers of Billions also had that idea. So, yesterday during the season premiere on Showtime, they gave Wags a heart attack while he was working out on the bike.

The Billions episode was shot in April (before the Sex and the City sequel filmed theirs), but they added the line about not going like Big after the other episode premiered, according to USA Today.

While fans are loving the killer stationary bike storylines, Peleton is not. Therefore, they issued this statement, “We get why these fictional TV shows would want to include a brand that people love to talk about, but Showtime’s use of Peloton’s Bike+ and reference to a Peloton Instructor was not a brand, product, or instructor placement, and we did not agree for our brand and IP to be used on this show or provide any equipment. As referenced by the show itself, there are strong benefits of cardio-vascular exercise to help people lead long, happy lives.”

I get where Peleton is coming from, but they are getting plenty of free promotion on two shows that have viewers in their target audience. So instead of acting like they have a bicycle seat up their a$$, they should laugh it off. It would work more in their favor.

Sir Kenneth Branagh’s grandmother defended his penis size
January 24th, 2022 under Graham Norton. [ Comments: none ]

Sir Kenneth Branagh was on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, and he had a whopper of a story to share with the host.

Back in the early ’80s, he was starring in a play about St Francis of Assisi in London. He invited his grandmother from Belfast to come see it live, and he gave her opera glasses to enjoy the show even though she was in the front row. There was only one problem; he forgot that he gets completely nude.

So when the big moment came, he stood there tall for everyone to see his royal jewels. The audience was quiet until a man from the back screamed, “I’ve seen more meat on a dirty fork.”

Well, his grandmother was not going to take that. So, she stood up and told the mean man, “Use your binoculars. It looks like a bloody hot dog.” I am surprised she didn’t go with banger, but it still works brilliantly.

And now we know where Branagh gets his sense of humor from, his grandma!
