Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of the most respected scientists in the World. Naturally, I was curious what he thought about the apocalyptic movie Just Look Up.
In short, it is about two scientists who discover a massive comet is hurling toward the earth, and it is a planet killer. They try to alert people to it, but no one believes them, including the President of the United States and the media. Will anyone believe them before it is too late?
Back to deGrasse Tyson, what did he think of it? “Finally saw the Netflix film ‘Don’t Look Up,’ a fictional tale of a Nation distracted by pop-culture and divided on whether to heed dire warnings of scientists,” he wrote. “Everything I know about news-cycles, talk shows, social media, & politics tells me the film was instead a Documentary.”
Wait, does this mean he tried to warn us about something, and we didn’t believe him? Is that what he is saying here? I already suffered from insomnia, and now I will never sleep. So if my JHS alum tells us there is a planet killer coming our way, listen to him and not the fake news. He knows what he is talking about, and they don’t
It is no secret that Vin Deisel and The Rock had a falling out when filming movies in The Fast & The Furious franchise.
Since DJ is so lovable, it would make sense that Diesel would want him in the final movie. So much so that the producer reached out to the star via social media. Therefore, making it look bad if DJ turned it down.
There was more to the story, and DJ gave the details to CNN. “I was very surprised by Vin’s recent post. This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly – and privately – that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return. I privately spoke with my partners at Universal as well, all of whom were very supportive as they understand the problem.
Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding. My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise with gratitude and grace. It’s unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters. Regardless, I’m confident in the ‘Fast’ universe and its ability to consistently deliver for the audience, and I truly wish my former co-stars and crew members the best of luck and success in the next chapter.”
So, it looks like we won’t be seeing DJ in the final movie even if Universal through truckloads of money at him. I can’t say I blame him. Can you?
Before Ty Burrell was happily married on Modern Family, he was divorced on Law & Order. Even though this was his on-camera debut, the 33-year-old gave an Emmy-winning performance in the 2000 episode.
Selena Gomez got some ink, and it is a huge watercolor rose on the upper part of her back. The actress is not alone because her friend Cara Delevingne got the same one on the side of her body. Making them tat sisters for life. Or until they have them removed, but why would they laser those beauties away?
