Today is the last day of Chanukah, so that means no more Hanukkah Sessions from Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin.
Does that mean it is over forever? The drummer wrote, “Greg and I would like to thank all of the people that helped ramp up the Hanukkah Sessions this year. It’s gonna be tough to beat! (But we will. Oh, we will…)”
So mark your calendars because they will be back doing the music of Jewish performers starting on December 18, 2022.
Until that date, we can Rock and Roll Nite and party every day with their version of the KISS song.
Does it feel like BTS is everywhere? That is because they are. Since they have been anywhere and everywhere over the last year, they made a big announcement. They are going to take a break.
Announcement on BTS’ Vacation
Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC.
We would like to inform you that BTS is planning to take a second official extended period
of rest since their first in 2019, after they complete their official scheduled events of “BTS
PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA” and the “2021 Jingle Ball Tour.”
BTS stayed active in order to engage with fans in 2020 and 2021 amidst the COVID-19
situation, and achieved dazzling results to cement themselves as top global artists.
This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed
themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative
energy. It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season
with their families. We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves, albeit
for a short while, during their period of rest.
BTS will be focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will
mark the beginning of a “new chapter.” They are preparing for a concert this coming
March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the fans who continue to cheer for
BTS and they will return as their best, healthiest selves after recharging so they can
return all the love from the fans.
Thank you.
Let’s hope they don’t do One Direction and break up during the break.
Mariah Carey and McDonald’steamed up for an eleven-day giveaway of free meal items leading up to Christmas starting on December 13th.
In order to promote the Mariah Meal, she shot a commercial for all of the items that will be available on those days. Since I am sure the fast food giant wanted to see her with their product, they gave her a chicken nugget in the ad. She dipped it in the sauce and then held it awkwardly. She didn’t even take a bite. Don’t you think it would have been more effective if she tried it? Plus, it would have shown us that she actually eats Micky D’s?
But then again, who cares? We are getting a free Big Mac on December 13th when we purchase something on their regular menu for at least a dollar.

2021 started off as Andrew and Chris Cuomo’s year, and it is ending with both of them being out of a job.
Andrew Cuomo resigned earlier this year after allegations of sexual advances and harassment towards women he worked with while governor of New York. There were several women who made this claim, and his brother used his influence to allegedly look up on dirt on them and act as his brother’s aide.
As soon as CNN learned about the latter, they did an investigation on him. Today, they made a decision about his future with the network.
“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately.
“While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.”
While Chris Cuomo said, “This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother. So let me now say as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN’s #1 show in the most competitive time slot. I owe them all and will miss that group of special people who did really important work.”
As someone who worked in hard news, I will admit we will use our jobs sometimes to get information about personal matters, like if a friend or family member might have been injured in an accident before it is released to the public. However, we know the line, and Cuomo crossed it.
Our loyalty belongs to our jobs and journalism before everyone else, including our family members. Or at least it should.
And to the people, who work at other news outlets, don’t get overly excited about this news. It could easily happen at your place of employment too. If it hasn’t already. Remember how happy you were to see male anchors get fired at Fox News, then CBS, then NBC, and so on. No place is safe from people abusing their power. And you know it.
