Blake Lively was back on the red carpet yesterday with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, to promote his movie, Free Guy. The Gossip Girl turned heads in a Cleopatra cut mauve Prabal Gurung floor-length gown that covered her feet. That was a good thing because it hid her secret. The actress was wearing hi-top sneakers, so she was able to glide across the carpet with her leading man. A very smart move on her part because we are not used to wearing heels anymore, and our feet are going to rebel against us when we do.
John Corbett was on The Talk today, and he had a big secret to share with his buddy Jerry O’Connell and the other hosts. His sex in the city days with other women are over.
“Jerry, I can’t believe that I forgot to tell you that around Christmas time we got married. Bo [Derek] and I got married,” he said. “You know, we’re pretty private people. We didn’t make an announcement. All our friends and family knew but, this is the first time either one of us has said anything publicly about it because really we haven’t had an opportunity. So, you’re my buddy, and now I guess I’m telling all of America or the world. After 20 years, we decided to get married. We didn’t want 2020 to be that thing that everybody looks back at and hated…let’s get one nice this out of it.”
That is such a beautiful reason to get married. May their marriage only be filled with hope and good times for the rest of their long lives. You can already tell that the first seven months are full of happiness because he was beaming with joy as he shared the news.
Before John Corbett fought for people’s rights on Rebel, he was fighting for his own on The Wonder Years. The 26-year-old gave quite a powerful performance for his debut on-screen role in 1999.
Before Ryan Seacrest hosted everything, he auditioned to host MTV’s TRL when he was a college student at the University of Georgia. He told Katie Lowes on Live with Kelly and Ryan yesterday that he thought he was going to get that job. He didn’t.
So, let’s imagine if he did. Then chances are, he never would have gotten the job on American Idol. That means he would not be the mega host that he is today. Damn you, MTV.
But wait, there is a reason why we also want to curse them out for not giving it to him. That is because things came full circle when he pitched The Kardashians to the guy who was responsible for him not getting hired, and he bought it.
Maybe if that guy worked with Seacrest, he never would have had taken a meeting with him, and we would never have gotten to known The Kardashians.
When one failed audition could have saved us so much grief. FU MTV for not making him the host of Total Request Live.
