BTWF: Michelle Pfeiffer for Lux Soap
August 19th, 2021 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Michelle Pfeiffer starred in Grease 2, she used Lux Soap to get grease off of her body. Could the 20-year-old be any more beautiful in that 1979 commercial?

I Survived a Serial Killer tells the true stories of victims who are lucky to be alive
August 18th, 2021 under A&E. [ Comments: none ]

Most serial killers have at least one victim who survived to tell about their harrowing ordeal. Starting tonight at 9:30p on A&E, we will hear their horrifying stories on I Survived a Serial Killer.

In 1992, Jennifer Asbenson accepted a ride from Andrew Urdiales. Unfortunately, that choice became the biggest mistake of her life. That is because he kidnapped her, tried to rape her, and then kill her. She was the only woman out of eight who literally was in his clutches and made it out alive.

Tonight, she shares what happened on that fateful day, what he did to her, and how she got away. We also hear from the cops who worked the case and how they finally caught him.

There are so many serial killer documentaries that focus on the police and/or the families, but this 12-part series focuses on the only people who can tell what it is like to survive the hands of some of the sickest murderers.

It is something that might have been told in the past, but not like this. If you think about it, these are the voices that we really want to hear from.

In the upcoming episodes, we will hear from the people who lived to tell what it was like to come face to face with Richard Beasley (AKA The Craigslist Killer), Angel Resendiz (AKA The Railway Killer), or David Parker Ray (AKA The Toy Box Killer) and live.

You might want to sleep with the lights on that night because the truth is always scarier than fiction. And their truths are some of the most terrifying.

As someone who is obsessed with series because I lived in the next town from the Son of Sam, this docuseries is my latest addiction. I think that says a lot because this is a topic I have focused on for decades.

Jacob Elordi kisses and tells about the stunt penises on Euphoria
August 18th, 2021 under Jacob Elordi, Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Jacob Elordi made his in-person talk show debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday with Modern Family’s Julie Bowen as a host.

At the end of the interview, she asked The Kissing Booth star if they use stunt penises on Euphoria since there is so much nudity on it. “Eric’s [Dane] penis is not his real penis. It is a stunt penis,” he said. “When you come into the makeup trailer, they’re all kind of set up.”

Why are they being held there? Because the makeup artists have to give them a makeover so that they look like the real thing. Is it wrong that I want that job? How do I get the job?

Oh, and I am assuming that the merkins are all in the hair trailer. That would make sense, right?

Garth Brooks cancels his next five dates over the Delta variant
August 18th, 2021 under Coronavirus, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. [ Comments: none ]

Just when concerts started back up again, it looks like they are being shut down because of COVID-19’s Delta variant.

The first musician to cancel their shows as a precaution and safety for their fans is Garth Brooks. He made the announcement on his website today.

Since restarting the tour in July, The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour has entertained over 300,000 fans across the first 5 cities. Now, with a new wave of the Covid-19 virus spreading across the nation, the tour has arrived at the very difficult decision of cancelling and refunding approximately 350,000 tickets in the tour’s next 5 cities.

For ticket holders, no action is required to obtain a refund; Ticketmaster will issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase.

“In July, I sincerely thought the pandemic was falling behind us. Now, watching this new wave, I realize we are still in the fight and I must do my part. I have asked the wonderful cities of Cincinnati and Charlotte to wait too long and I don’t want to now do that same thing to the great folks in Boston and Baltimore. As far as Nashville, we are looking for a make up date from the July rain out and though this is not COVID related, to make them wait makes me sad, as well. So, it is with a heavy heart we announce the decision to cancel all 5 shows but with a hopeful heart, we will reschedule and start over when this wave seems to be behind us,” said Garth Brooks.

“The joy I have seen in everyone’s faces as live music returns has been more than worth our constant diligence to maintain safety protocols not only for the fans, but for our band, the crew and the hard working staff in these stadiums. Their dedication to safety for the people who fill those seats has been a miracle to watch and a blessing to receive. I am truly grateful.”

A spokesperson for the tour said the team will continue to monitor the virus’ impact and watch how schools, sports, and other entertainment entities are handling this stage of the pandemic. “I’m sincerely hoping we are back on tour before the year’s end,” said Brooks. “With that said, the most important thing to me is fulfilling my end of the Stadium Tour by making sure every show is doable before putting tickets on sale (that is why we pulled the Seattle on sale) and making sure the environment these people are trading their time and money to put themselves into is not only the best experience ever, but also the safest one we can provide.”

I don’t think the news is surprising. I have panic attacks every time I see photos from concerts, and no one is wearing masks and they are packed in like sardines.

You can say that only people who are vaccinated are admitted, but that doesn’t mean they do not have a breakthrough case. What if they give it to someone next to them who has a child under 12 at home. That child goes to school and gives it to a classmate who lives with a relative who can’t get the vaccine for whatever reason and dies.

This is why we keep saying get the vaccine and wear a mask. It is not only about protecting yourself; it is about protecting strangers from getting it.

And don’t come at me about freedoms and religion. Wearing a mask is an extra piece of clothing you are required to wear. You don’t like it, then let your dick and tits hang out. Oh, but that is not the freedom you were talking about. Actually, keep your micropenises and saggy boobs hidden. I don’t want to see them, and I don’t want to see your yellow teeth and ugly noses. Cover up; it is not about you. It is about your neighbors too. And doesn’t the Bible say, “Love thy neighbor?” It doesn’t sound like you are when you are being a selfish asshole. That goes against everything that religion teaches. Don’t believe me? Reread the Bible. As someone who majored in religion, I can tell you, with my degree, y’all are hypocrites.

So if you can get the vaccine, get it. Otherwise, you won’t be one of Brooks’ friends in low places!

OK! I feel better now.
