Before Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon were like sisters on Sec and the City, they were actual sisters in My Body, My Choice. How sweet is it to see the 13-year-old and 14-year-old working together in that 1992 movie?

Days of our Lives is getting a limited series on Peacock
July 26th, 2021 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: 1 ]

There was a time when it looked like the sands in the hourglass were done for Days of our Lives. However, the daytime drama has had a resurgence recently. So much so that Peacock is giving it a 5-episode limited season.

To make it even more enticing, they are bringing back names from the past. The first was announced today, and Lisa Rinna will be reprising her role as Billie Reed. Hopefully, they will find a way to get Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso to come out of soap opera retirement for it. How awesome would that be? We will always welcome Bo and Hope back with open arms.

Now that you know that some of our favorites will be back. I bet you want to know what they will be doing and who from the NBC soap will be appearing on it.

Over a long weekend, John & Marlena travel to Zurich, Ben & Ciara have a romantic getaway in New Orleans, Chad visits some old friends in Phoenix, and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli vacation in Miami. All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. It’s a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure. Packed with all of the romance, action, drama, and surprises that only “Days of our Lives” can deliver, fans will spend a week with their favorite Salem supercouples and reconnect with many familiar faces along the way.

Are you as excited about this as I am? I hope it does well so that we can get more of these specials.

When will your favorite Fox shows be back?
July 26th, 2021 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh-GxTzbKRw

It is time to get your calendars out because Fox released when their shows will debut in the Fall. So if you are missing 9-1-1 as much as I am, you will be happy to know it will be back in 56 days! However, I am more excited for the show that debuts after that season premiere. The Big Leap looks like it will take a big leap into our hearts.

Hopefully, they didn’t make a mistake by taking a big leap and having The Masked Singer on two nights a week. That can cause burnout quickly. Since it is their biggest show, they need it to do well. I am sure it will.

MONDAY, SEPT. 20
8:00-9:00 PM 9-1-1 (Season Five Premiere)
9:00-10:00 PM THE BIG LEAP (new series)

TUESDAY, SEPT. 21
8:00-9:00 PM THE RESIDENT (Season Five Premiere)
9:00-10:00 PM OUR KIND OF PEOPLE (new series)

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 22
8:00-9:00 PM THE MASKED SINGER (Season Six Premiere)
9:00-10:00 PM ALTER EGO (new series)

THURSDAY, SEPT. 23
8:00-9:00 PM THE MASKED SINGER (Part Two)
9:00-10:00 PM ALTER EGO (Part Two)

FRIDAY (ONGOING)
8:00-10:00 PM WWE’S FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN

SUNDAY, SEPT. 26
8:00-8:30 PM THE SIMPSONS (Season 33 Premiere)

LA Brea is going to be the biggest hit of the Fall
July 26th, 2021 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC released a promo for La Brea, and it is going to be a hit. People are going to tune in to see the new Sci-Fi show that is going to be up there with Lost. I also expect it to be a ratings juggernaut for its series premiere on September 28th like Manifest was when it debuted.

I just hope the sinkhole stays over by the La Brea tarpits because it is hitting a little too close to home for me. What? I love disaster flicks; I just hate when they are close to where I live. Is that wrong?

How far will Danny Bonaduce go to get recognized at Red Robin?
July 26th, 2021 under Danny Bonaduce. [ Comments: none ]

It has been over 50 years since we got to know Danny Bonaduce and his red hair on The Partridge Family.

While he is older now, and his fiery locks have added some smoke to them, he is still recognizable to Gen Xers and Boomers. However, Millennials and Gen Zers might not know who he is. So how does he get special treatment at Red Robin if they don’t know who the child star turned popular radio DJ is? He brings a headshot along and hangs it on the wall next to him.

Did it work? We don’t know. But I am assuming he got bottomless fries with whatever he ordered.
