 Paramount
I have been saying for a long time that if I had my own network, I would play Mommie Dearest for 24 hours straight on Mother’s Day. Since I don’t, I can watch the 40th-anniversary edition of the movie that is being released on Blu-Ray for the first time on June 1st.
Newly restored from a 4K film transfer, MOMMIE DEAREST is presented in a limited-edition Blu-ray Disc™ with collectible packaging featuring a foldout image of the film’s theatrical poster and an interior spread with key movie moments. The Blu-ray includes a new Filmmaker Focus with biographer Justin Bozung on the film and its director Frank Perry, a new audio commentary with American drag queen Hedda Lettuce, access to a Digital copy of the film, as well as previously released bonus content. Special features are detailed below:
· Commentary by American drag queen Hedda Lettuce –NEW!
· Filmmaker Focus: Biographer Justin Bozung on director Frank Perry –NEW!
· Commentary by filmmaker John Waters
· The Revival of Joan
· Life with Joan
· Joan Lives On
· Photo Gallery
· Original Theatrical Trailer
This is a must-own for fans of the movie that made us all appreciate our moms a lot more. That and throw out all of their wire hangers. Seriously, I am not the only one who does that every time they watch the film. Damn you cleaners, what did I ever do to you?
UPDATE: On June 8th, in honor of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off turning 35, Paramount is releasing a limited edition Blu-ray Steelbook in honor of the milestone.
Wait, there is even more good news because they are also releasing Blu-ray Steelbooks for two of John Hughes’ other films on that day. They are Pretty in Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful.

A lot of people get their first tattoo before their 21st birthday. Donna Mills is not like most people. That is why she got her first ink when she was 80.
“I can’t believe I did it🤦🏼♀️! Got a tattoo,” Mills wrote. “@chloenicolemills and I got matching tattoos on my Santa Barbara Birthday trip 🥳Soooo much fun. My girl planned the absolute best trip ever. Love, love, love her 💞💞💞💞💞💞”

Cagney & Lacey break matzah together |
March 29th, 2021 under Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly, Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1981, Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly started fighting crime together as Cagney & Lacey. Now, 40 years later, they are celebrating the first night of Passover together.
“My partner-in-crime and I,” Gless wrote. “Celebrating Seder after being badly burned by the Florida sun. We have traded our guns for masks. I love Tyne Daly. We still crack one another up.”
If I were a network head, I would bring the crime drama back as a comedy with the two of them busting the neighbors in their retirement community. Those over 55ers can be really dangerous!

Nathan Fillion has a big head |

On March 27th, Nathan Fillion turned the big 5-0. To celebrate the milestone, they decided to celebrate it on the set of his show The Rookie. Someone thought that he deserved a big cut out of his head. Being who he is, he held it up with pride.
That is not the only thing he is proud of. “I feel I must say, I don’t feel 50 years old. Let’s just call it ’50 Shades of Nath’. My life certainly isn’t working out the way I planned it, but it is working out the way I dreamed it. Thank you, all of you.”
Who wants to write some fan faction for 50 Shades of Nath? We could all have some fun with the Rookie in a Castle.

Who knew Zac Efron was into slapstick comedy? |
March 29th, 2021 under Zac Efron, Zach Braff. [ Comments: none ]

Zac Efron was checking out a garden, and he didn’t notice something in his path. That thing was a rake, and he stepped on the medal part of it.
What happens when you do that? The wood part stands straight up and hits you in the face. That caused the actor to fall down—a move we have seen in many slapstick comedies. Therefore, when he is ready to return to acting, I think he needs to do a movie like that. Preferably not another one with Seth Rogen because he is better than that.
