The Chicago Fire band is on, well, fire
November 18th, 2020 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Some of the Chicago Fire cast was a little bored as they waited to film a scene. Therefore, Jesse Spencer and Kara Killmer decided to take out their ukuleles and jam at their fake bar Molly’s.

Who knew they were so wild on the set, but they are. Then again, if you play with fire, you might want to play with something pretty tame the rest of the time.

Fox brings back Name That Tune!

Back in the early ’50s, we got introduced to a game show called Name That Tune, and it went on for over 30 years. The premise is easy. All you have to do is tell the host, Jane Krakowski, how many notes it will take you to name a tune.

It sounds easy when you get something like Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. What happens when you get Pressure by Queen and David Bowie, and you think it is Vanilla Ice’s Ice, Ice Baby? Then that adds a lot of pressure to the game. Which, in turn, makes it more fun for us!

What makes it more fun for the contestant is that they can win $100,000 in the final round. Who doesn’t want to get that much dough?

Did I mention who the band leader is? It is Randy Jackson. We will get Paula Abdul on The Masked Dancer at 8p, and the dog at 9p. It is almost like American Idol is back on Fox.

Name That Tune debuts on January 7th.

Rob Van Winkle + ice = Vanilla Ice
November 18th, 2020 under Vanilla Ice. [ Comments: none ]

Vanilla Ice was born Rob Van Winkle, but we know him by his stage name. That name has become a big part of him. Therefore, he said, “When you walk past a cart of ice and you feel some sort of connection. Perfect photo prop. #IceIceBaby”

Too bad he didn’t have his daughter with him because then we could have gotten Ice Ice Baby. Ding, ding, ding, ding, dada, ding, ding. Too cold?

A few weeks ago, Apple TV+ announced that they acquired the Charlie Brown holiday specials from ABC. That means that the beloved Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes would not be seen on broadcast television anymore. Needless to say, people were crying good grief 2020.

Well, today PBS gave them some holiday cheer. That is because they will be airing the classic episodes commercial-free. The Thanksgiving one will air on November 22nd, and the Christmas one is coming to town on December 13th.

When it comes to Apple TV+, Turkey Day will start cooking on November 18th, and it will be available to stream for free on the 25 through the 27th. Then on December 4th, Christmas comes early with free viewings on the 11th through the 13th.

2020 has been a real bitch, but every now and again, she does something nice.

Do you want to try apple pie flavored Pepsi?
November 18th, 2020 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

Remember the good old days when the only flavored Cola was soda? That was a long time ago. Now there is cherry, vanilla, and cherry vanilla, to name a few.

That was then. From now until December 7th, Pepsi is selling 1,500 bottles that taste like Apple Pie. I am sure Jason Biggs can’t wait to try it out. Especially if it is in a 2-liter bottle.

Do you want to taste it? I want to take a sip. I mean, how bad could it be?
