Genesis reunite to rehearse for their tour!
October 27th, 2020 under Phil Collins. [ Comments: none ]

Genesis was supposed to be getting ready to go on tour next month, but then COVID-19 happened. Now their 2020 tour has been moved to April 2021. Yesterday, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, and Phil Collins started rehearsing together.

This is the first time they are hitting the road since the Turn It On Again: The Tour in 2007. It will not just be the three of them, Nic Collins (Phil’s son) on drums, and long time lead guitar and bass player Daryl Stuermer will make them a quintet.

Too bad, Peter Gabriel won’t get over himself and join his old mates on the road. Although, I doubt Collins would want to share the mic.

Do you want to see them live and in concert? I mean, at this point, I would see anyone live, including a Smashmouth, Color Me Badd, Spin Doctors, Nickleback ticket. That is how desperate I am for some live music. However, during normal times like 2019, I would totally be down for them. Sadly, we live in a land of confusion because of an invisible touch, and that means we can’t dance. Now that I think about it, Sussudio sounds like it could be the name of a virus that spreads in the air tonight. I know the last two are songs from Collins’ solo career, whatevs.

Due to COVID-19, the fall TV lineup will star over a month later than it normally does. That means we are most likely going to have a shorter season than usual. CBS is already planning for that, so they cut the order amount on several of their shows.

According to TV Line, we will get 18 episodes of NCIS: LA and The Neighborhood, while Blue Bloods, Bull, Magnum P.I., NCIS, NCIS: NOLA, and SEAL Team will do the Sweet 16. The other shows, that are not produced by CBS, will also have their seasons cut short, but it will take a little longer to finalize their deals with Warner Bros and Universal.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are not married

For years, people have speculated that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are already married. Well, they are not. How can I say that with such confidence? Because the two of them just got engaged.

The couple shared a photo after he proposed. He wrote, “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life… I love you. I heard a YES!” Did he? “yes please! 💍🙏🏻,” she said.

The two met when she joined The Voice in 2014. They did not get together until they both split from their spouses in 2015. She was married to Gavin Rossdale, and he was with Miranda Lambert.

There is no word when they will tie the knot, but I have a feeling they will have a barn wedding in Oklahoma. I also think it will be sooner rather than later. It will be interesting to see what role her three boys, Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4, will play in their mom’s big day.

I have a feeling the producers are not going to be with happy with the news. There was a report that they wanted them to get engaged on the NBC singing competition. That ain’t gonna happen now. Maybe NBC can air a special of their wedding day as a thank you present for introducing them?

Simon Cowell has a new smile
October 27th, 2020 under Simon Cowell. [ Comments: 2 ]

Back in August, Simon Cowell fell off his motorized bike and broke his back in three places. Now, he is back on his feet, and he has something to smile about. Not just about walking again, but he also has a new smile.

According to Page Six, the King of Mean spent two 3-hour appointments getting 28 smaller, less bulky veneers from Dr. Michael Apa. At $4,000 a tooth that a lot of dough. Do you think it was worth the $116,000?

My teeth are hurting just thinking about spending that much money on anything.

Susan Sarandon takes a Time Warp with Tenacious D
October 27th, 2020 under Jack Black, Susan Sarandon. [ Comments: none ]

Tenacious D called some friends up and asked them to do the Time Warp with the band for an important message. Yesterday, the Republicans in Senate sent us into a time warp back to the past by confirming Amy Coney Bennet as a Supreme Court justice. If you are as pissed off about it as I am, then you have to vote by November 3rd.

That is why Jack Black, Kyle Gass, Eric Andre, Ezra Miller, George Takei, Ilana Glazer, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Heilemann, John Waters, Karen O, King Princess, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Michael Peña, Peaches, Phoebe Bridgers, Reggie Watts, Sarah Silverman, Senator Elizabeth Warren,
and Susan Sarandon sang the most known song from Rocky Horror Picture Show for Rock the Vote.

Polls mean nothing if you don’t vote, so do it. It feels as good as sex! So let that feeling toucha toucha toucha you.

On that note, dammit, Janet, it is nice to see Sarandon finally do something with Rocky Horror, but where was Tim Curry and Barry Bostwick? The two of them, along with Nell Campbell, are taking part in a Halloween fundraiser for the Wisconsin Democratic Party on Saturday. Thus they could have sang a line.
