Britney Spears wearing just chains
June 26th, 2020 under Britney Spears. [ Comments: 1 ]

Britney Spears/Instagram

Britney Spears released a new song called Mood Ring, but for some reason she is only wearing chains on the promotional art. I guess she thought that would help sell more copies of the tune. She would’ve sold more if she was just wearing a mood ring. Especially since, it is not one of her best singles.

I would be wrong to mention that this might not be the best time in history to wear just chains. Considering that is what slaves wore. But then again, she is probably referencing her life because she is chained to her parents with her conservatorship.

If you want to hear the song (you don’t), then click here!

Sammy Hagar clarifies that he’s willing to die from COVID-19 to restart touring
June 26th, 2020 under Constance Wu, Coronavirus. [ Comments: none ]

The other day, Rolling Stone posted an article where they asked 13 legendary musicians, and Sammy Hagar are they willing to go back on the road before there is a vaccine for COVID-19. Hagar was the only one who said he would.

In fact, he said, “This is hard to say without stirring somebody up, but truthfully, I’d rather personally get sick and even die, if that’s what it takes. We have to save the world and this country from this economic thing that’s going to kill more people in the long run.” Well, as you can expect, that did not go over well with people.

Today, he clarifed what he meant by that on social media:
Hey, Sammy here. Earlier in the week @rollingstone ran a compilation piece from their Quarantine Q&A series. I did that interview a month and a half ago, things change very fast right now, so I wanted to clarify and put a few things into context now.

I did that interview May 8th when we were already several weeks into the stay-at-home, which my family and I took very seriously, and things were starting to look up, the curve was beginning to flatten. So when I was asked if I’d be comfortable enough to get back onstage before a vaccine was out, I was cautiously optimistic. I said, “Yeah, not too soon. I want to make sure it’s not escalating. When it’s declining and seems to be going away.” Big picture, it’s about getting back to work in a safe and responsible way and getting this economy rolling again. I will do my part. I stand by that. I employ 200 people directly and when we tour even more. Like everything today, it’s a watch and see over the next few months but we remain cautiously optimistic that with the right improvements and safety measures in place, we might be able to play shows this year. That said, as things change, for the better or worse, we will appropriately adjust our plans.

Do you believe that is what he meant or he is just trying to cover his a$$?

BTW I was just wondering. If Hagar didn’t join Van Halen, would he be considered a one hit wonder?

BTWF: Jonathan Sadowski on House, M.D.

Before Jonathan Sadowski had a father, who said whatever he wanted, on Sh!t My Dad Says, he was trying to get a job with House, M.D., a doctor who did whatever he wanted. He looks the same now as he did when he was 27 in that 2007 episode.

Doom Patrol is back for a smaller but bigger second season
June 25th, 2020 under Brendan Fraser, DC Comics, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

Doom Patrol is back today with its second season on HBO Max and DC Universe to see if it can top its first super season. When we last left off, our not-your-ordinary superheroes were shrunk down to doll size, and they have not grown an inch since then.

They obviously want to get bigger again, but The Cheif (Timothy Dalton) has not figured out a way to do it. He knows someone who can possibly help him, but that help will come at a huge cost. How far are they willing to go to be normal-sized again?

That is just one of their many problems. The Cheif’s daughter, Dorothy (Abigail Shapiro), is now living with them, and she has a lot of issues. The biggest one is that she will never grow up. Although some might say, it is probably all of the evil things living inside of her. When they come out, everyone should be afraid.

The Cheif wants Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Cliff Steel (Brendan Fraser) to get along with her. However, they are focused on themselves and getting bigger again.

Rita is not as stretchy as she used to be, and she needs to get her power back. Jane is losing her battle with her demons. While Cliff is dealing with his daughter, who thought he was dead for her whole life. How will she handle that he is alive and living robot?

Vic (Joivan Wade) and Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer) are still normal-sized and they are working on themselves. Vic is getting help from a therapy group, and he makes a new friend. While Larry is met with faces from his past. Will they accept him as he now?

The first three episodes that are streaming today are catching us up with what they have been through since they saved the world. But it is also catching us up on who they were before we got to know them. They have a lot of issues, and being tiny superheroes doesn’t help.

Especially since one of them is paying the ultimate price for them. But I have said too much…

What I can say is that Doom Patrol is anything but doomed. It is the best comic book show on television because it is unlike all of the others. The best way to put it is that there is sex, drugs, and Disco! Who doesn’t love that combo?

If you want to watch something original and fun, then check out Doom Patrol! It is everything you want and so much more.
