Will there be a Dancing with the Stars in fall?
May 14th, 2020 under Dancing with the Stars, Tom Bergeron. [ Comments: none ]

Due to the coronavirus, the fall schedule of broadcast television is pretty much up in the air for most shows including Dancing the with the Stars.

Today when Tom Bergeron was on Extra, they asked him if the ballroom will be open in the fall. He says, “I think that is the hope.” However, he added, “It’s hard to imagine, right now, a scenario where 700 people in an audience and 24 sweaty dancers can all be in the same room. We’ll see if some variation of that is concocted.”

There is a way they can do it remotely. So many dance studios are closed because it is not an essential business. Therefore, each couple can get their own studio. The judges and the hosts can go live from their homes. Sadly, there will be no studio audience. I think they would be worth the sacrifice to bring the dancing competition back in a few months.

Blame coronavirus, not Adam F. Goldberg for Blainey not getting a proper breakup
May 14th, 2020 under Coronavirus, The Goldbergs. [ Comments: none ]

During the ’80something, Barry and Lainey dated on The Goldbergs. Then she got Schooled on love and broke up with him. However, they got back together in ’90something, only to break up again.

Sadly, we didn’t see what caused them to split up on yesterday’s season finale, so the Goldnerds were not happy with the shows’ creator. Adam F. Goldberg explained why it went down that way, “Getting hammered by fans which I expected, but still pains me. Due to actor schedules, we shot our CB/Lainey finale early. I wrote an epic episode giving Barry and Lainey an ending they deserved, but COVID shut down our set. Still grateful to the cast and crew for a great season!”

Coronavirus is ruining everything.

As we wait to find out if Schooled will be back for another season, we can play the highly addictive online game The Goldbergs: Back to the ’80s. It is as addictive as hairspray was in the decade.

The CW is taking the fall off
May 14th, 2020 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

With the start of production nowhere in sight, the broadcast networks have to be creative with their fall lineups. On Monday, Fox revealed that they will be heavy on reality, animation, and held over shows in the fall.

Today, The CW announced that their original shows will skip the fall. Their only show that will air new episodes in that time period will be Supernatural, which did not finish its run because of COVID-19. According to Deadline, the network has five completed episodes on hold, and hope to shoot the final two before those episodes air. Then when Jared Padalecki is done with that show, he will move over to Walker that is expected to debut in early 2021.

When it comes to 2021, they will be adding Superman & Lois and Walker, a reboot of Walker Texas Ranger, to their lineup. Then in the midseason, Dynasty, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, In the Dark, Roswell, New Mexico, and Supergirl will be joined by Kung Fu and The Republic of Sarah.
