Chris Meloni is back as Elliot Stabler

Law & Order: SVU

The good news is that Chris Meloni is reprising his role as Elliot Stabler. The bad news is that it is not for Law & Order: SVU. Instead, he is getting his own spinoff, and it already a 13-episode order.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The new series revolves around an NYPD organized crime unit led by Stabler. The new series will also be set in New York.” I smell at least one crossover episode with SVU coming up.

No word, where and when the show will debut. However, with so many pilots never being shot because of COVID-19, I am assuming it will be on NBC in the Fall.

Meloni originated the role in 1999, and played the character until 2011.

Coronavirus Rhapsody is the best song parody of the bunch
March 31st, 2020 under Coronavirus, Music. [ Comments: none ]

There are hundreds of songs reworked for the Coronavirus, but I think Adrian Grimes’ take is the best one. It is so spot-on. It will be our new rhapsody. At least, until this crisis is over.

If you need a smile, then listen to the lyrics. Especially, when he gets to the part where he killed a man. OK. That didn’t make me smile, but it made me think. We all should think about that.

Joan Collins actually washes the windows

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Case in point, Joan Collins, the legendary diva, washed her own windows. If her alter-ego Alexis Carrington was a real person, she would smack some sense into Collins. The Dynasty character would be like, we are too good to do windows. That is the help is for.

Andrew Cuomo called his brother Chris Cuomo a ‘meatball’
March 31st, 2020 under The Cuomo Brothers, TV News. [ Comments: none ]

As much as we look forward to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s daily tough love press briefings, we can’t wait for him to be on his brother’s CNN Prime Time show. Yesterday, he was on Chris Cuomo’s show and they were bickering again.

Chris bragged how their mom taught him how to make her spaghetti sauce, and Andrew said he had to work back then like now. Then the governor called his brother a “meatball.” To which Chris responded by saying it is a compliment in Italian families. It isn’t, but let him believe that.

Andrew also gave his brother crap for doing his show from his basement. A place Andrew says that Chris’ wife Christina banishes him to a lot.

Talking about white rooms, Chris wanted to know if Andrew is considering moving to the White House. Is he? In one word, “NO!”

Sadly, this morning Chris got a yes, he did not want. He wrote, “S00000 in these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for corona virus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fever, chills and shortness of breath. I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness! I am quarantined in my basement (which actually makes the rest of the family seem pleased!) I will do my shows from here. We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united!

Get well soon, Chris.

This is one way to sneak out the house during lockdown
March 31st, 2020 under Awesome Videos. [ Comments: none ]

Don’t try this at home! However, a man in Stevenage in England wanted to go out during the lockdown, but he did not want to get caught. Therefore, he wore a disguise that also doubles as the best face mask because it covers his whole body. He went out as a bush and blended in with the shrubs around him.

Had it not been for his neighbors, Nicholas Murray and Madeline Mai-Davies, posting the video on TikTok, we would have thought he was an actual tree. Also, we would not have gotten a much-needed laugh because this is brilliant!
