Mad About You fans have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving

For over a year, Paul Reiser tried to find a home for Mad About You. Finally, Spectrum decided to save the day and picked up the show as a limited series.

Today, they announced that the first 6 episodes of the show will debut on November 20th and the latter six will come out on December 18th. Not only that all 164 episodes are available now to watch on Spectrum OnDemand.

What can we expect from the 12 episodes? “The series will explore the fertile ground of modern marriage through the eyes of the Buchmans as newly minted empty-nesters after dropping their unpredictable, hard-to-control daughter Mabel (Abby Quinn) off at college.” John Pankow and Richard Kind reprise their roles as Ira Buchman and Dr. Mark Devanow.

With all the blood, sweat and tears that Helen Hunt and Reiser put into this revival, I hope it is good. Which I am assuming it will be.

Rudy finally gets a sequel and it is finger looking good!
September 5th, 2019 under Fast Food, Mackenzie and Sean Astin. [ Comments: none ]

It has been almost 23 years since Rudy scored a touchdown with audiences and now it is finally getting a sequel. This time around Sean Astin’s character’s dream is to be Colonel Sanders and his wish will come true.

While it is not the movie you were expecting, stranger things have happened. Why couldn’t he go from football player to Kentucky Fried Chicken spokesman? I would watch!

Seriously, I am so happy the Sean Astin summer of appreciation is continuing on. He is one of the good guys in Hollywood. Which is why he is always playing that type of role. Well maybe not in The Strain, but other than that he is always the guy you root for.

One little tidbit, the man who tells Astin that he cannot become the head of KFC is the real Rudy Ruettiger. Two Rudys in one shot.

Celebrate Black Christmas on Friday the 13th
September 5th, 2019 under Blumhouse, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

45 years ago, Black Christmas aka Silent Night, Evil Night scared moviegoers just days before the holiday. This year, an updated version (or second remake) of the 1974 movie is coming to theaters on Friday the 13th of December.

The slasher film is described as, “Hawthorne College is quieting down for the holidays. But as Riley Stone (Imogen Poots, Green Roomn) and her Mu Kappa Epsilon sisters-athlete Marty (Lily Donaghue, The CW’s Jane the Virgin), rebel Kris (Aleyse Shannon, The CW’s Charmed), and foodie Jesse (Brittany O’Grady, Fox’s Star)-prepare to deck the halls with a series of seasonal parties, a black-masked stalker begins killing sorority women one by one.

“As the body count rises, Riley and her squad start to question whether they can trust any man, including Marty’s beta-male boyfriend, Nate (Simon Mead, Same But Different: A True New Zealand Love Story), Riley’s new crush Landon (Caleb Eberhardt, Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle) or even esteemed classics instructor Professor Gelson (Cary Elwes).

“Whoever the killer is, he’s about to discover that this generation’s young women aren’t about to be anybody’s victims”

As someone who loves horror movies based on holidays, I am thoroughly excited for this movie. Especially because it looks like Blumhouse is keeping it old school. As in letting the suspense of the kill scares as compared to horrible CGI effects. That and last year I saw so many Christmas based horror movies, I need a new one to add to my viewing list.

You can watch the original Black Christmas on TubiTV for free now. Something I will be doing to get me in the mood for the holidays. If you have never seen it, it is one of the scariest Christmas horror movies ever made and believe me, I would know.

Princess Charlotte started school today!
September 5th, 2019 under British Royals. [ Comments: none ]

Princess Charlotte is getting to be such a big girl that today she joined her big brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea. The two kids were taken to their first day at school together by their parents. Kate Middleton held her daughter’s hand as the 4-year-old nervously entered the building. After she was inside, her father told Daily Mail’s Rebecca English and the other Royal press that his daughter is excited to start school today.

I bet you she will be the most popular person in her class by the end of the day. Not because she is a literal princess, it’s because she is full of so much personality. Who wouldn’t want to be her friend?
