Jessica Simpson was hospitalized for a week
March 3rd, 2019 under Jessica Simpson. [ Comments: 1 ]

Jessica Simpson posted the above photo and revealed why she has been social media silent for the last week. She wrote, “After a week in the hospital for bronchitis (my fourth time in 2 months), I’m finally home! Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey. I am getting healthier every day. Baby girl was monitored and is doing amazing! 🙏🏼 I am on my way to healthy!”

Hopefully, the next time she is in the hospital, it is to give birth to Birdie close to her due date. Which should be soon by the looks of it.

Critters are back and they are destroying Burbank
March 2nd, 2019 under Shudder. [ Comments: none ]

It has been over 25 years since Critters left Earth and on March 21st, they will be back. The murderous furballs have landed in a new city, and Burbank will never be the same.

Here is how Shudder is describing Critters: A New Binge, “Pursued by intergalactic bounty hunters, the Critters return to Earth on a secret mission and encounter Christopher, a lovelorn high-schooler, his best friend Charlie, his crush Dana, and his mom Veronica – whose past will come back to bite them.”

I cannot wait to see what Jordan Rubin (Zombeavers) does with the 8-part series. If the trailer is any clue, I think it will be extra yummy.

As someone who lived in Burbank for over a decade and grew up watching the horredy franchise, I am so excited to watch what they are going to do to my old town. Although, since I live right next to Burbank, I hope they don’t cross over to where I reside because then I will have nightmares. It is all fun and games until it hits home.

Can Doom Patrol survive a road trip?
March 1st, 2019 under DC Comics, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

The third episode of Doom Patrol is up on DC Universe and it is a positive one. I say that because we get Negative Man’s back story. We find out what Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer) was like before he was taken over by negative energy and what it was like when it ruined his life.

Before we get to that, Doom Patrol gets a tip that Chief (Timothy Dalton) is in Paraguay. Therefore, Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby), Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Cyborg (Joivan Wade) and Negative Man get on the school bus and embark on a road trip. As we remember, the last time they went on one, a whole city was destroyed and its inhabitants died. Will this trip go better?

This time, it is them in trouble after the negative energy gets out of Trainor and causes their bus to break down. That is when his back story starts the night before that fateful fight. He is in the back of his truck making out with his lover (Kyle Clements) and he gives Trainor an ultimatum. Trainor doesn’t take it and goes back to his wife (Julie McNiven) and sons.

Then as the episode goes on, we find out what happened after his plane crashed leaving him severely burned all over his body. We see how after being left with disfiguring burns changed him and made him the Negative Man he became

Back to our Patrol, they finally make it to Paraguay and Nazi man’s puppet show. Is Chief there? What happens when they confront him? You do not want to miss it.

I went from watching Matt Bomer on Will & Grace to him in this episode, and how he has not gotten an Emmy is beyond me. He can so effortlessly go from comedy to drama, it leaves me in awe as I watch him. Very few actors can do it as well as him.

Plus, I enjoy everyone else on this show. I love watching superheroes curse and not be perfect. That is why I get such a kick out Doom Patrol. You can tell they are having as much fun making it as we do watching it.

Katherine Helmond passed away on Saturday at the age of 89 from complications of Alzheimer’s according to The Hollywood Reporter. David Christian, her husband, said, “We spent 57 beautiful, wonderful, loving years together, which I will treasure forever. I’ve been with Katherine since I was 19 years old. The night she died, I saw that the moon was exactly half-full, just as I am now … half of what I’ve been my entire adult life.”

Helmond began acting in the ’50s, but did not get her big break until 1977. That is when she was cast as the beautiful, lovable, naive Jessica Tate on Soap. No one could have played that beloved character as well as she did.

After Soap ended, she did several movies and guest appearances, and then she landed another part that would make us fall in love with her all over again. She starred as Mona, the sexy grandmother, on Who’s the Boss.

Those are two of her most famous roles but we also know the fiery redhead from The Hindenberg, Brazil, Time Bandits, Overboard, Coach, Everybody Loves Raymond, True Blood and the Cars franchise. These are just a few of the many roles she had from 1955 up until last year. She did not let age slow her and continued acting for as long as she can.

Today let’s remember her spunky spirit by watching one of her many beloved parts. I will watch Soap on Antenna TV because she always found a way to make laugh on every episode. I will smile through the tears.

John Mayer needs to look at naked people every day!
March 1st, 2019 under Ellen DeGeneres, John Mayer. [ Comments: none ]

Ellen DeGeneres had some burning questions for John Mayer today and he had some hot answers for her.

The first thing she wanted to know is what are three things he needs to do every day. He told her that he needs to make coffee before his breakfast is done in the microwave, workout and “look at naked people.” Then she wanted to “where are they?” We all know where they are, they are in the world wide web. It is where we all watch them.

Oh and now we know what he is up doing every day until 2a. He is doing himself.
