Mariah Carey puts Dem Babies to work
November 29th, 2018 under Mariah Carey. [ Comments: none ]

Mariah Carey is about to embark on her annual Christmas tour and it looks she is teaching her twins the background vocals for All I Want for Christmas (Is You). Now that Roc and Roe are 7 years old, instead of joining her on stage; it is about time they started earning their keep. Why not have them sing along with her to earn their supper. Plus, the audience will love it. It is a win/win for everyone, but the child labor department that might have to fine her for doing that. Can she put them to work legally?

ABC gets Schooled on January 9th!
November 28th, 2018 under The Goldbergs. [ Comments: none ]

After too long of a delay, Schooled finally has premiere date. The sitcom based in the ’90s will debut Wednesday, January 9th at 8:30p after The Goldbergs on ABC, the show it is spun off from. The spinoff will focus on Adam F Goldberg’s old high school where Lainey (AJ Michalka) is now a teacher. I guess she and Barry do not work out.

The pilot was shot for last season, but the bad network heads decided not to pick it up. After some fan coercion, they aired the pilot as a test. And it passed with flying colors. Doing better than most of their other sitcoms at the time. Therefore, they picked it up for this season. Yet, they stupidly decided to hold it until now. Big mistake.

Another mistake is I do not know why they are nothing doing a retro night of comedies. Like lead the night off with the Kids Are Alright that based in the ’70s, followed by The Goldbergs from 1980’something and ending their night in the ’90s with Schooled and Fresh Off the Boat. How rad would that be? Totally groovy, right?

Back to the schedule. What happens to American Housewife? It will replace The Conners on February 5th. The latter completes its season the week beforehand. When it comes to AH, I am glad they have a lot of faith in this show. If you have not seen it, check it out tonight because it is really funny.

This is the saddest dog commercial since Sarah Mclachlan’s SPCA ads
November 28th, 2018 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

https://youtu.be/Ttb5dgqyIY4
Let’s be honest, that Sarah MacLachlin SPCA ad makes you cry everytime you see it. Well, Burger King just released a new commercial with dogs that is just as sad. But this one has a happy ending.

It starts out with puppies watching their owners eating Whoppers and not sharing the meat with their best friend. Their four-legged buddies just stare at them with the saddest faces. It is so heartbreaking.

But then the pup gets a Dogpper! If you order from BK through Door Dash, then you get a free flame-grilled tasting bone for your best friend. Now, dog owners do not have to worry about the nasty looks because they will be loving their bones.

CBS and Murphy Brown are no longer Happy Together
November 28th, 2018 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsULQUgaFCA
CBS announced today when Fam with Nina Dobrev will debut and when Man With a Plan will be back.

Fam premieres on Thursday, January 10th at 9:30p and it replaces Murphy Brown which will not be back for a second season. Then on Jauney 31st, Life with Pieces will take over that slot. Joking on the last line, but Fam is the worst sitcom in a really really really long time. It is painfully unfunny and I love sitcoms. Even the ones that the critics all rip a new one. Therefore, when I say a comedy is awful, it is horrendous for everyone else.

When it comes to Murphy Brown, I write this while watching the original run of the show on Antenna TV. The revival started out way too political and it was a turn-off. It slowly eased off of that topic but it was too late. CBS should have limited their dated humor and the show would be back.

On that note, Man with a Plan will be back on Monday, February 11th replacing Happy Together. This decision does not make me happy. I love Happy Together and I am sad it will not be back. Personally, I thought it was much better than The Neighborhood.

Am I the only one sad about Murphy Brown and Happy Together getting cancelled?

UPDATE: Murphy Brown creator, Diane English, says the sitcom could be back. She wrote, “Murphy Brown fans. We are NOT CANCELED!!!!! Several entertainment sites read a mid season schedule put out by CBS that did not have our show on it and the assumption was made that we were not renewed. Our order, at our request was 13 eps. We look forward to a second season.”
