Before Burt Reynolds was the sheriff in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, the sheriff wanted him out of his town in Johnny Ringo. How sexy was the 24-year-old in that 1960 episode?

Christine Lakin has an honest message to her unborn baby
September 6th, 2018 under Babies, Christine Lakin. [ Comments: none ]

Christine Lakin is very pregnant with her second child and she has a message for her son. The Hollywood Darlings’ actress wants him to know”

Baby Boy, it’s been fun-
But I must say, the time has come
Your big sister has so much to teach ya
And mommy and daddy can’t wait to meet ya
Leaving that warm little nest must be tough
But let’s get this going because your lease is up.
#39weekspregnant

I guess she does not remember the title from the show that made her a star. If she did then she would remember to take things Step By Step. But then again, he is step by stepping on her bladder, so it makes sense she want him out.

Lakin and her husband, Brandon Breault, have a 2-year-old daughter named Georgia James.

The popular movie category was not popular with the Oscars
September 6th, 2018 under Oscars. [ Comments: none ]

Last month, the Oscars announced that they were making some changes to the awards show. The most controversial one was the adding of the Best Popular Film. They faced a lot of backlash from people inside and outside of Hollywood.

There is so much disdain for the new category that today they announced it will not be part of this upcoming Oscars. According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMPAS “will examine and seek additional input regarding the new category.”

Personally, I was looking forward to it because then movies like Black Panther and Crazy Rich Asians would get a nomination. The voting elitists keep nominating films that no has seen or want to see. Therefore, there is no reason for the average moviegoer to watch the show. I wish they were not such film snobs because I want them to recognize films that will have a lasting effect on Hollywood and not ones that will be forgotten the day after the show. Can you name what film won this year?

How do you feel about Best Popular Film?

Burt Reynolds passed away today at the age of 82 from cardiac arrest according to Us Weekly.

Reynolds started his career out as a stuntman and wound up becoming a legendary actor. When he first started out, he did several small guest star roles on television, but then he became the go-to movie star thanks to films like Smokey and the Bandit, The Cannonball Run, The Longest Yard, Deliverance, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and many more.

Then in the latter part of last century, he went back to his TV roots and starred in Evening Shade and Out of This World. He also guest-starred on shows like Cybill, The Golden Girls and Beverly Hills, 90210.

Then in this century, he continued to do both. He even had a few more movies in the works. The last movie he will be remembered for is The Last Movie Star that got him a lot of press recently. A movie that almost seemed like it was loosely based on him. A washed-up actor who was still revered to a few and forgotten by some

He and his mustache will never be forgotten. And not just because he was the first nude male centerfold, but because he was one of the greatest actors of his time. Today, honor him by watching one of his many many films. There is one for everyone.

Heathrow baggage handlers celebrate Freddie Mercury’s 72nd birthday
September 6th, 2018 under Freddie Mercury. [ Comments: none ]

Before Freddie Mercury hit it big with Queen, he worked as a baggage handler at Heathrow Airport. Yesterday, for what would have been his 72nd birthday, several workers from the London airport and British Airways dressed up like him. Not only that, they also sang and danced to his huge hit I Want to Break Free.

I do not want to break free from watching them do that. They should make it a daily thing because then people will not be as upset when their luggage takes forever to come out. Although, that could be why it is taking forever to come out.

Seriously, this is the perfect tribute to the late great singer and The Mercury Phoenix Trust, the charity set up in his honor.
