The biggest moment at this year’s Emmys is when Director Glenn Weiss won the Emmy and won our hearts by clinching his girlfriend’s heart. He did that by telling Jan Svendsen why he hated to call her his girlfriend. He would rather call her his wife.
At that point, everyone knew exactly what he meant. He was proposing to the love of his life. With some coaching from the audience, she went up onto the stage and he got down on one knee. Thankfully, she said yes.
But what would have happened if he did not win? He told the press backstage, he would have asked her at their go-to post-awards shows spot In-n-Out. Good thing he won!
Why do they have an after awards spot? The two met in 2001 and worked together for 10 years. According to Variety both of them worked on the Tonys and as we know he also works on the Oscars.
Did she have any idea that he was going to propose to her on national television? Nope, the only person who knew was his dad. The person whom he got the ring from whether his siblings like it or not.

Before Henry Winkler was a defense attorney on Arrested Development, he really needed one in Crazy Joe. He looks the same now as he did when he was 27 in that 1974 movie.
Forget the whitest song and dance number since Rob Lowe opened the Oscars. Or the flattest monologue since Kevin Spacey hosted the Tonys. The Emmys did not begin until Henry Winkler won Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for HBO’s Barry.
The nicest guy in Hollywood finally won his first Primetime Emmy since he was nominated back in 1976 for playing Arthur Fonzarelli on Happy Days. Talking about that show, The Fonz and Richie Cunnigham aka Ron Howard were reunited before the show started. I am happy the Oscar winner got to see his friend bring home the statuette. Who doesn’t love that the two Arrested Development stars are still close friends after all of these years. Oh, I get it now.
Before Meghan Markle was the Duchess of Sussex married to Prince Harry of England, she was a suitcase girl on Deal or No Deal (which is back on CNBC in December). She is not the only person who worked for Howie Mandel before they were famous.
Today, when he was on Kathie Lee and Hoda, he revealed that two of his past assistants are famous today. The first one he mentioned is Dan Fogelman. Know the name but can’t place it? He is the creator of This Is Us, Galavant, The Neighbors, Grandfathered and Pitch. He also has a movie coming out this week called Life Itself, so go see it.
Fogleman replaced another now-famous person, Robin Thicke’s ex-wife, actress Paula Patton also got Mandel his hand sanitizer whenever he needed to shake hands with someone.
The moral of this story is that if you want to make it big, then work for Howie Mandel. Hey Howie, are you hiring?
Marie Claire asked Nicole Kidman to answer some questions for them, but they did not ask her them directly. Instead, they put them in a balloon and told her to pop them. She was having much fun, the Oscar winner did not want to stop.
While all but one of the answers were boring, there was one that should make you happy. They asked her what is her secret talent. Mrs. Keith Urban told them that she gives massages. Not those type of massages, but when she as 17 she learned how to do a sports-related one.
She specifically made sure to say that it was not one of those happy ending one. Then she added, “I am a masseuse, but I can do happy endings!” Now we know the secret to her 12-year marriage to Keith Urban!
BTW is just me or is she looking better than ever? Whoever styled her, did a really great job. This hairstyle is perfect for her.
