Do you want a reboot of Frasier with just Frasier?
July 25th, 2018 under Kelsey Grammer, Revivals-Reboots. [ Comments: none ]

Now that it looks like the Mad About You revival is not happening, that means another one has to go in its place. According to Deadline, Kelsey Grammer and CBS TV Studios are shopping around the idea of him bringing back Frasier. Just him in a new city with a new cast of characters. Since his dad (John Mahoney) and dog are, sadly, no longer with us, I get why they would not be involved. But what about the others?

Frasier was not just about him, it was an ensemble. If it was just him, it would have gotten cancelled during the first season. I mean think of it this way. Since then he has been part of several shows, and the longest one lasted just 18 episodes. I think that says it all. If you are going to do Frasier, we also need to have Jane Leeves, David Hyde Pierce and Peri Gilpin, without them there is no reason to do it.

Or do you think there is one?

BTWF: AnnaLynne McCord in Transporter 2
July 25th, 2018 under AnnaLynne McCord, Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before AnnaLynne McCord was the bad girl on 90210, she was a really bad bad girl in Transporter 2. She hasn’t aged a day since she was 17 in that 2005 movie.

Burden of Truth is the summer drama we so desperately need
July 25th, 2018 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Let’s be honest, this has not been a good summer for television. But that is all going tonight at 8p on The CW with Burden of Truth.

Joanna Hanley (Kristin Kreuk) grew up in Millwood, but her father suddenly and quickly made them move away 17 years ago. She does not know why he did that. But that was then, now she is a high powered lawyer in his law firm and a case is going to cause her to go back to the small town she grew up in.

The girls at the high school are sick with a mysterious illness. They have convulsions, twitch uncontrollably and cannot concentrate, and no why knows why. They believe that the shot they got for the HPV virus is what is causing their symptoms because it is the only thing they have in common. Joanna does not believe it is the cause and she goes there to protect the pharmaceutical company.

Much to the displeasure of the town. But that is not the only reason why they hate her. That reason has to do with her father and she does not know why.

As she is going around town offering settlements to the girls, another girl becomes sick. Unlike the other victims, she did not get the vaccine. That clears her client, but not the girls.

Even though this is an unwinnable case Joanna is going to do everything in her power to find out what is going on in her hometown. She will have the help of Billy Crawford (Peter Mooney), a childhood friend and a lawyer to help her out. This case is important to him because his niece (Sara Thompson) is also sick.

Each week, they will come closer to finding out why only the girls are getting sick. But it does not offer them a solution. To make matters worse people are going to try to stop their investigation, including her own father (Alex Carter) and boyfriend (Benjamin Ayres). Will she give up or will she keep on trying to get to the Burden of Truth?

When I started to watch the first episode, I was like, great another case of the week legal drama. Which is something I am so over. But as the episode went on, I realized there is so much more to this story and they will be sticking with throughout the first season. I immediately watched the next episode and the one after that and then I was mad when I reached the end of the four screeners they supplied for review. This show is so well done, you will be wanting to know what happens next with each episode. It is like a good book that you cannot put down. It is the type of drama we have been craving to be on broadcast TV in the summer. Most of America is under a heat wave, so tonight, put on the AC and watch Burden of Truth on The CW. I promise you will be instantly hooked. That is my judgement, case closed.

James Corden is a Backstreet Boy for a night
July 25th, 2018 under Backstreet Boys /Aaron Carter, James Corden. [ Comments: none ]

I guess James Corden always wanted to be in a boy band, so he just forced himself into performing at a Backstreet Boys concert in Vegas. At first BSB was hesitant, but eventually, they taught him the moves because he already knew all the words to their songs.

Finally, he was ready to take the stage and he was, well, larger than life. That is not a good thing. But at least The Late Late Show host is a one song and done type of guy. Because I do not think the audience would have handled any more than that. Could you have?
