Oprah Winfrey was one of the best-dressed people at the Royal Wedding today, but that was not the dress she was supposed to wear. She originally was going to wear on a beige one, but on camera, it would have looked white. As anyone knows, you don’t dare wear white to a wedding. That is reserved for the bride only. Well her, and the ex-girlfriend, who somehow got invited and actually showed to the nuptials, therefore she is only there to upstage his new lady.
Anyways, Lady O called up Stella McCartney on Friday morning and asked her to make her something for the big day. What is she going to do, say no? No one says no to Oprah and lives. Do you know anyone who has? I don’t either.
Back to the dress, the fashion designer’s people stayed up all night, and she got what you saw today, just 24 hours after she made that call. I am glad that other one did not work because the Queen of Daytime was pretty in pink at the royal affair. Oh and she said the hat was vintage. Vintage to her means it has been in her closet since 2005. Vintage to us means something completely different,
Once we saw Meghan Markle in her dress, the awwwdorable page boys and bridesmaids walk her into the church and the look of love that she shared with her now husband Prince Harry, then it was time to focus on the next big moment at the Royal Wedding. That highlight came from her Suits costar Rick Hoffman, who had an expression more like his character Louis Litt than himself. One that stuck out so much in a sea of fascinators, it became the meme of the day.
Why did he look so miserable to see his friend his get married? Did he want to marry her, so he is upset she is marrying someone else? Turns out, it actually had nothing to do with the Duchess of Sussex. He took to Instagram to explain the face that launched a thousand memes, “To answer any questions about the weird face that was made at the wedding. Imagine sitting next to people to your right, not knowing which person it was, that has halitosis. Hence the face that is apparently all over the place.” Then he added, “So it is as simple as that, Charlie.”
I would have that same expression that he did. Who hasn’t sat next to someone who has the worst breath and made that same exact face? There is nowhere you can go and your stuck breathing in their awful breath. With each one of their exhales, you are stuck smelling it with each inhale. There is nothing you can do because you cannot move and you have to breathe to live.
Now you know why he looked like Louis Litt after Harvey screwed him over and Rachel has to go to Mike to talk to Harvey to smooth things over with Louis. I am going to miss Mike and Rachel on Suits, but we know she is in a much better place, a much much much better place.
I just have to say it is moments like this one that makes me love Hoffman even more. He is the most lovable character on Suits. So loveable, you just want to hug him and squeeze him.
You know how Patricia Heaton’s character Frankie Heck is all into the Royal family on The Middle? Turns out the actress is equally as obsessed with them because she woke up at 3a to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get married. Not only that she dressed up for the occasion, fascinator and all.
Unlike on The Middle’s Mother’s Day episode, she did not watch it with her family. Instead, she viewed the nuptials with the people that wrote that scene for her. The creator’s of the show, DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler. The latter looks so thrilled to be up at that ungodly hour, just like me. Markle is so selfish. She is from California. She should have made it later because she knows we are 8 hours behind England. 4a is way too early to be excited about any wedding.
After what seems like forever, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally got married today. It was a beautiful, but long, ceremony that was witnessed by several people us Yanks would recognize. Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, James Corden, David and Victoria Beckham, Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams, Idris Elba, Elton John, Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford, James Blunt, Gina Torres, Patrick J. Adams and Troian Bellisario, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, Abigail Spencer, Gabriel Macht and Jacinda Barrett.
They all got to see her walk down the aisle with Prince Charles in white silk off the shoulder dress designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. The 5-meter long veil had a flower representing each of the 53 countries of the Commonwealth and one for her native state of California.
Then when it was over, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walked out of the church and gave the onlookers a sweet kiss. There first of many.
Like the fairy tales say, “They lived happily ever.” Until they get a divorce…
Before Meghan Markle had her big wedding to Prince Harry today, she got married to Patrick J Adams on Suits last month.
Her TV husband had some sweet words for her, he wrote, “Going to bed now and thinking a lot about the strange surreal and wonderful day my friend Meghan is going to have tomorrow. Meghan – wherever you are – we are so grateful to be here to watch you both take this monumental step together. Love deeply and live well. #RoyalWedding.” Then he followed it up with, “I’m beginning to think she might not actually be out getting milk.” A reference to his Tweets when she announced her engagement. I hope she gave him some milk as a joke.
Something he and the cast and crew of Suits did not drink (except for that baby who is getting some) when they celebrated their coworkers’ nuptials last night at the last supper. Look how happy they are to see her marry a prince. Something 8 years ago, they would never have expected to happen. But it did! And now the actors are being treated like royalty for a day, today.
