ABC has needed a good Sci-Fi show for a while now and The Crossing is it. Tonight at 10p, you will see why I love it so much.

Sheriff Jude Ellis (Steve Zahn) has been informed that a body washed up in his small town and they want him to look into the mysterious person. When he gets there, he discovers it is a little girl, Leah (Bailey Skodje), and he breathes life into her lifeless body. Just when he thinks he has saved the day, his deputy, Nestor Rosario (Rick Gomez), tells him to look. That is because there are hundreds of bodies floating in the water towards them.

Of the nearly 500 bodies, 47 of them survived and they have a secret. They are from over 150 years in future and they are here to prevent their future. A future full of war and disease. If that is not hard enough to believe, then how about they are not first people to come from their time to our time. How have the past visitors embedded themselves into our time?

Then there are some key questions like why are they here? Why now? Why this place? What do they want? How bad is their future? Those questions will be answered in future episodes as they try to assimilate into our time. Well, as much as they can because Department of Homeland Security is forcing them to live in a camp for our protection and to study them.

Good thing not all of them were captured. Reece (Natalie Martinez) was able to get away from the others. The only problem is her daughter, Leah, was captured with the rest of them and she wants her back. She will work with the sheriff to find her daughter since the DHS has taken over the investigation of the mysterious people. During their search, she will reveal how much more evolved they are in the future as compared to now.

There are so many questions left to be answered. If you love a good Sci-Fi thriller, then you are going to love this show as much as I do. It is a slow suspenseful mystery, that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Something all of us crave every now and again.

Yesterday on The Last Man on Earth, we saw Will Forte do something he has never done before. Something I think he needs to do more often. That is a sexy striptease to Joe Cocker’s You Can Leave Your Hat On. Side note, did you realize that you can not spell Cocker without cock, something his music makes seem bigger!

Anyways back to Forte, Tandy definitely looked dandy while wearing just that white button down shirt, black boxers and hat. The way he moved his whole body, reminds me of all of the strip clubs I used to go to in Miami. So much so, if this acting thing does not work out for him, he could totally make it as a stripper. I would make it rain for him. Rain that LA does not see unless Lil Wayne is in town.

I also want to add that Mel Rodriguez just broke my heart yesterday because his character’s heart was broken by not being able to have kids. It was all worth it for that magnificent Godzilla like scene. Wasn’t that awesome?

The CW picked up 10 of their shows for next season and sadly iZombie is not one of them.

What made the list? All five DC shows Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Black Lightning and Arrow are flying into next season. Supernatural is turning the big 1-4. Riverdale finds its sugar, sugar with season 3. Jane the Virgin gives birth to its rumored last season while Crazy Ex Girlfriend keeps on singing songs no one else would dare sing about. The biggest surprise of them all is that Dynasty will also be back. The show that is one of the lowest-rated shows on television will miraculously back for more hijinx.

Besides these 10 shows, The CW added another night of television to their lineup in the fall. Therefore, that means at least two new shows will be joining the 2018-2019 lineup. I am rooting that they consider bringing sitcoms to their lineup. Maybe a Reba revival? The cast is up for it, so let’s make it a reality. That and iZombie!

UPDATE: Rachel Bloom revealed that next season will be Crazy Ex Girlfriend’s last season. She Tweeted, “Just turned on my wifi on our flight to Chicago and found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season.” The cast is on tour promoting the music from the show. I am going to miss that music. My iPod (yes I am old school) loves to play the tunes from the series whenever I drive by the Catholic church near my house. I don’t know if it hates me or is trying to teach that place of worship a lesson? I am going with the latter.
