Even though it is not Super Bowl Sunday just yet, companies are releasing their commercials early. Doritos Blaze and MTN DEW ICE just released their ad and it is going to be a fan favorite. It starts out with Peter Dinklage busting out Busta Rhymes part of Chris Brown’s Look at Me Now for Doritos. Then when his solo ended, it was time for Morgan Freeman to get Missy Elliott’s Freak On for Mountain Dew.
Now that you have seen the hot and cold for the Super Bowls ads, are you hot or are you cold? Which makes you wonder why they did not use Katy Perry’s song for the advertisement as a duet? Personally, I would have taken it back to the ’90s with Buster Poindexter’s Hot, Hot, Hot and Vanilla Ice’s Ice, Ice, Ice Baby for the lip sync battle. But that might be too obvious. And I like the rest of Advertising class at University of Miami did not go in to the field, so what do I know. I was just the only one who was told not to go into it.
Before Jenifer Lewis was the Diva of Black-ish, she played a character called Diva in Beaches. She has not aged single day since she starred in that 1988 movie when she was 30 years old.
Have you seen those advertisements for magnetic eyelashes and wanted to try them out? Well, Rebecca Romijn did just that for us, and how much do you want to try them now? If the guardian of The Librarians, who is also a supermodel, cannot get them on properly, how are us mere mortals supposed to do it?
A day afterUSA announced that Meghan Markle and Patrick J Adams are officially leaving the show at the end of this season that debuts on March 28th, they announced that Katherine Heigl is joining the show for its 8th season which begins filming in April. They revealed that she will playing “Samantha Wheeler, a talented new partner at Pearson Specter Litt who challenges the status quo and will either become the firm’s greatest ally…or most powerful enemy.”
Heigl is second person to join the legal drama, who also starred on last season’s failed show Doubt. Dule Hill co-starred with her on the CBS legal drama that was pulled after just 2 episodes. Which makes you wonder what they are thinking?
I like Heigl, but she is very polarizing. With Suits losing two of its beloved characters, you would think they would want to get someone that would make people want to tune in and not tune out. People tune in for Hill, who has already proven himself on Suits, but I do not think that Heigl can do the same. Which makes me think that the next season of Suits might be its last. Unless they give Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and Gretchen (Aloma Wright) more scenes together. I love their pairing!
