Before Roma Downey was Touched By an Angel, she was seen as one of the 20th century angels in A Woman Named Jackie. She looks the same now as she did when she was 30 in that 1991 telemovie.
Tell me I am not the only person who was shocked to find out that Hugh Laurie was British? He did such a great American accent on House, I thought he really was a Yankee. Turns out he has a problem saying that baseball team’s home state’s name like a true person from The States. Today on Live with Kelly and Ryan, he revealed that he hard time saying New York with an American accent. Which is interesting because House took place one state down and you would think New Jersey would be harder to say. But I am NYer, I think everything about Jersey is worse!
ABC once again has the first new show to be cancelled and this year it is Ten Days in the Valley. Never heard of it. Don’t worry barely anyone else did either and that is why it is moving to Saturdays. To make matters even more depressing for the Kyra Sedgewick starrer that aired Sundays at 10p after Shark Tank. Are you saying to yourself, that is where they put Shark Tank? Sorry, got distracted like I did when I attempted to watch the pilot. What is even sadder, is that they are pulling the show effective immediately, but will not air the remaining episodes until mid-December. By then no one will remember what happened in the first four episodes. But since we are talking about maybe 2 million people, does it really matter?
What will replace it? For the next few weeks, we will get back to back episodes of Shark Tank. I guess you can say that is Mr Wonderful for us!
When it comes to what show will get the ax next, pick from ABC’s other new shows that are not called The Good Doctor. In other words, Marvel’s Inhumans, The Mayor and/or Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. The latter one is really sweet and you should watch it.
Hugh Jackman was out shopping and he found something that looked familiar to him. It was a Wolverine costume. Although it is not the one we are used to seeing him in, it is the one that is featured in the comic book. Which given the choice, I would rather dress like him in The X-Men movies. Who wouldn’t?
Seriously though, I wonder how weird is it for actors to see the costumes in the stores of the characters they play. It has to be a weird déjà vu.
It has been 25 years since we have had a new Austin Powers movie, yet his mask has been selling out all over the place? Why does everyone want to dress up as this Mike Myers for Halloween and not the other one who has a franchise based on the holiday? Two words, Baby Driver!
As soon as the actors put on the masks in that film, the director knew it was going to be a hot costume this year. So much so, Edgar Wright told The Hollywood Reporter, “I even mentioned to Warner Bros. [which released Austin Powers under New Line Cinema] that they may ship a lot of masks at Halloween, and I think that’s exactly what’s happened.” They didn’t and now people will be left going as that other Mike Myers instead because that is all they can get.
Talking about Mike Myers, if someone can tell the actor that people are dying to be the International Man of Mystery this year, then maybe we can finally get that fourth movie we have been waiting a quarter of a century for. Yeah, baby!
