Today is Dolly Parton’s 71st birthday (Can you believe it?) and W Magazine found an interesting way to honor her. They asked Matthew McConnaughey, Chris Pine and Michael Shannon to audition for her legendary part of Doralee Rhodes in the classic movie 9 to 5 by reading the infamous “rooster to a hen” scene. How did they do? Watch their read and then hers and let me know. I know, who I would give the 9 to 5 to.
I will admit, I never watched Power Rangers but even I know this trailer for the movie is a slap in the face for fans of the original shows. It looks like all the other DC Comics and Marvel movies that are out there. There is nothing about special it. Nothing that makes it any different than all the Comic Book movies.
Therefore, will be skipping it when it comes out on March 24th, will you be there to be to see it.
On a positive note, it looks better than the Gem and the Holograms film that reportedly came out last year.
Sir Patrick Stewart has a crappy new job, and he is loving it. Sony Pictures announced yesterday that the acclaimed actor is going to voice the Poop emoji in The Emoji Movie and I can’t think of anyone better to do it. Because he’s The Sh!t, so why shouldn’t he play it in the animated movie that comes out on August 4th.
If you are like me and long for the day when television shows came up with catchy theme songs that got stuck in your head every week until the next episode? Well Seth MacFarlane gave you the cure for that fix. He had his boys Brian and Stewie sing some of the best show openers from back in the day when he was just Meg’s age. Yeah, I said Meg!
Anyways, listen to TV’s most popular talking baby and talking dog singing the Diff’rent Strokes, Growing Pains, Charles In Charge, Silver Spoons, Who’s the Boss?, Perfect Strangers, The Golden Girls and Family Ties themes like the Lounge act that they are. It is what the World needs today because I think brings us all together like Hands Across America did.

Therefore, she mashed up their worlds and gave us a trailer that makes us wish it was a reality and not just one person’s vision.
Maybe it will happen. One is getting reboot and the other is getting a stage musical, so why not?
