One of the things I never realized that is so perfect about Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show is that James Corden has his the people he is interviewing in a position that they can’t get out of. Meaning, they are in moving vehicle and they can’t run from his questions.
Yesterday, he picked up Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas, and the youngest Jonas brother learned that lesson as soon as he sat down. The CBS host wanted to know if the friends of 10 years had ever dated. Then the cutest klutz sold him out by telling us that he dated Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, then back to Selena and finally back to Miley before moving on from the Disney Darlings.
Then like all of us, Corden wanted to know when he removed his purity ring. He said when he fell in love. Awwww. Wonder if that is the same woman who tied him up? Yes, that’s right, he admitted he was tied up. He also said he was chained to wall at a Gay Club! Way to go! He’s not so innocent!
But their trip down memory lane in the HOV lane wasn’t only about his sex life. At one point, they all got of the car and performed on the streets of Los Angeles. Say what you want about Demi, but girl can sing. What a voice she has and that is without any help from sound engineers.
I remember hearing a story that premise behind REM’s Shiny Happy People, is that you can’t say the title three times without smiling. For me listening to Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling has the same effect. Therefore, it is nice to see that the music video is smile inducing from the beginning to the end. Who doesn’t get a happy feeling after watching people from all walks of life joyously dancing. I know it brightened my day.
Steve Harvey asked the contestants on Family Feud, “We asked 100 men, fill in the blank, every girl I meet tells me I’m what?” Without hesitation Joe buzzed in and screamed out, “Smelly!” The way he was so quick to answer that, you have to assume it is true for him. Sadly though, he admitted that on national television for no reason at all because it was not the board.
