How hot was the Emmys red carpet?
September 20th, 2015 under Emmys, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

It was over 100 degrees in Los Angeles today and the show must go on. That means because the Emmys was still happening, celebrities still had to walk the red carpet of the black tie event in their gowns and tuxes. Which means they were sweating like a Presidential candidate at the Republican Debate. We didn’t get to see the celebs sweat because they were all using Dry Idea. There was one person who didn’t use that antiperspirant and his name is Mario Lopez. His revealed that all of that heat entered him into a wet T-shirt contest and he won! Wow, just thought of that shower scene in Nip/Tuck. Now I am wet!

RIP Jackie Collins
September 20th, 2015 under Obits. [ Comments: none ]

Jackie Collins passed away yesterday at the age of 77 after a long battle with breast cancer according to People. The tantalizing author kept her diagnosis a secret for 6 and half years from everyone but her three daughter. In fact, she was still doing a book tour up until this month and it was then that she told her sister about her cancer. After revealing her news to Joan Collins, she sat down with People and gave her final interview detailing it. I guess she learned how to keep a secret from all of the characters she created.
So today keep her spirit alive by reading one of her many novels like The Santangelos, Poor Little Bitch Girl, Hollywood Divorces, Hollywood Husbands, Hollywood Wives, Lucky and so many more.

Hello, is this the creepiest thing that Jimmy Fallon has ever done?
September 19th, 2015 under Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

It has been 31 years since the music video for Lionel Richie’s Hello came out and we are still talking about it today. In fact, yesterday on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon recreated it with a little twist. He played the singer and the singer played his ceramic bust. As the NBC late night host sang the song, Richie sat their motionless. Then when the chorus came on, he started to sing. That is where it gets creepy and yet you can’t turn away. There is just something so captivating about it, especially when both men can’t control their laughter. Which makes you laugh along with them and then you forget how creepy it is.
So is it the creepiest thing that Fallon has done in late night? No, that title is still held by him singing Barbara Ann with wax versions of himself, but this is a close second.

David Moscow recreates Big!
September 18th, 2015 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

When we first got to know David Moscow, he played a young Tom Hanks who made a wish to be Big. Well, now he is big and he has a wish that he needs you to help him fulfill.
Moscow has been acting nonstop since that classic movie, and recently he just finished directing his first film. Now, he needs the money to complete Desolation and he is asking you to help him finish his dream come true.
He launced a Kickstarter campaign and for $25 you can get a signed Newsies postcard from him. For $300, you can get him to record a message on your answering machine. For $500, he will individually Skype with you for an hour. For $2,500, you will be listed as an Associate Producer of the film. For $9,500, you will be listed a Producer of the film. These are just a few of the perks for helping him out, and when you go to the Kickstarter page you can find out the rest.
So do a Zoltar and be his fortune giver.
A big reason why I am posting this, is that the Desolation sounds and looks really interesting

Here’s the description, It’s a psychological thriller in the vein of Polanski’s The Tenant. Small town KATIE meets heartthrob actor JAY. Jay charms Katie, brings her to L.A. where she falls hard for him. When Jay gets a movie and has to leave town, Katie awaits his return. That’s when everything begins to unravel. Katie is robbed, her keys and wallet taken. When she reports it, the police question and then attack her. Terrified, with no money, and stuck in L.A., she keeps calling her friends at home, but just gets a “wrong number.” Frantically, she asks Jay to wire her money and come back, but neither he nor the money show. When Katie’s home town newspaper is delivered to her door in L.A., it includes her obituary. And she realizes there is some greater evil at play.

After reading that, don’t you just want to see the finished product?

Ice Cube is a real Scrooge!
September 18th, 2015 under Ice Cube. [ Comments: none ]

A Christmas Carol is being remade again, and this time they found the perfect person to play the lead. According to Billboard that man is Ice Cube, and I can’t think of anyone who would be better for the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.
Humbug is in the early stages, but I would be shocked if it doesn’t come out next Christmas. I can see this version being played every holiday season, just like a lot of the others that have been based on the Charles Dickens’ classic.
