The guys from Wicked Tuna are heading south to the Outer Banks of North Carolina again to compete in the Tuna race down there tonight at 9p on National Geographic Channel. The limit there is 42 tons which is around 270 fish. That means the competition will be over quickly, so they have to get as many fish as they can before it is all over.
The first day starts off slow, but once the fish start biting they don’t stop. Will it be a team from the South or the North who gets the first fish? Who gets the one that’s worth most? And who goes empty handed?
Not only do they have to try to find the most expensive tuna as possible, one that’s worth around $20,000, they have to deal with the elements. By the end of the episode tonight one of the teams will crash their boat into a bridge and their season could be over before it even began.
Normally, I find fishing boring, but Wicked Tuna and Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks makes it so exciting. There is a thrill you get by watching them trying to catch a fish, bring it in and then to find out how much it is worth. Nothing puts a bigger smile on your face when you hear that the tuna is worth over $15,000. Who knew those things were so expensive? I just thought it tasted good.

Alex Rocco passed away yesterday at the age of 79 according to his daughter Jennifer, who wrote a beautiful poem in his honor. Rocco started working in the mid-60’s and he never stopped. The actor was known for his gravely voice that made him sound tough, but he still came off as loveable. He is best known for playing Moe Green in The Godfather. Others of us know him for playing Jo’s dad on The Facts of Life and Matt LeBlanc’s father in Episodes. These are just a few of the many many many roles he played his long career that included drama, comedies and everything else in between.
So today pick a movie or television show or both to rewatch his brilliant work and keep that bigger than life spirit alive.

Even though Bruce (Greg Poehler) has been living in Sweden for 6 months now, he is still adjusting to his new country. He still hasn’t found job and that is making things complicated for him. Even though he’s still unemployed that isn’t stopping him from thinking of asking his girlfriend Josephine to marry him. Before he pops the questions, he is going to ask her parents for her hand in marriage. When he does, he finds out that Sweden has a much different view of marriage than they do in The States. Now he has to decide if he is still going to propose to her.
To make matters worse for Jo and him, they are going to get a new roommate. How will that effect their relationship?
In an upcoming episode, Amy Poehler gets Bruce a job. He will be “The Man” in Sweden for Jason Priestley who only is interested in one thing and touring Sweden isn’t it.
Welcome to Sweden is a refreshing comedy, but it is also an educational one. You get to learn about Sweden and the Swedish, their customs, their language and so much more. Wait until you learn how they say yes. I know I can’t stop using it.
