Guess who was up for Cher Horowitz? |
| June 9th, 2015 under Alicia Silverstone. [ Comments: none ]

Jen Chaney wrote a book called As If!: The Oral History of Clueless, as Told by Amy Heckerling, the Cast, and the Crew, and she gave Vanity Fair excerpts from it. In one of the stories from the book that’s out next month, she revealed what other actresses were up for the iconic role.
Believe it or not, Alicia Silverstone was not the first choice for the role. Amy Heckerling wanted Alicia Witt, but Fox wanted her to explore all of the actresses. Some of those other actresses were Tiffani-Amber Theissen, Keri Rusell and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Angelina Jolie’s agent was pitching her hard to casting director, Carrie Frazier, but she knew she was wrong for the role. When Frazier got a script called Gia, she knew Mrs Brad Pitt was right for that role and thus launched her career.
Another person who was thought of for the role was Reese Witherspoon. Heckerling knew she was going to be a star, just not for her film because she wanted Witt to be her star.
So how did Silverstone get into the mix? Heckerling saw her in an Aerosmith video and thought she would be perfect for it. Frazier saw a movie called The Crush and thought that actress would be perfect for it. Frazier told Hecklerling to see the movie, but Amy was insistent she wanted the Aerosmith girl. Turns out they both were talking about the same person. Thus, Cher Horowitz was born.
I can’t imagine anyone other than Silverstone playing the role. After seeing who else was up for the role, I am glad we don’t have to imagine anyone else.
I wonder if any of those actresses are going to read the book and be like I could’ve be Clueless? How would their careers have turned out differently? I can’t even ponder that. Actually, it really hurts the head picturing Russell or Paltrow as Cher.
Who do you think is the biggest Monet on that list?

Better Late Than Never could be the better than everything! |
| June 9th, 2015 under Better Late Than Never, Henry Winkler, Jeff Dye, William Shatner. [ Comments: none ]

NBC announced their newest reality show today and it has the potential to be the best thing ever. Better Late Than Never is going to send Henry Winkler, William Shatner, George Foreman, Terry Bradshaw and Jeff Dye to Asia and make them survive on their own without any help from everyone. Basically The Fonz can fish, The Shat can use Priceline, the Boxer can bring his grill, the football colorist can be that funny looking American they want to take pictures with for money and I am sure they’re things that Jeff Dye learned on I Can Do That that will come in useful somehow.
Still confused by the show? Here’s the description from the press release:
Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman and Jeff Dye will embark on the ultimate international excursion with no assistants, no limousines and no lattes, in search of an intimate, life-changing experience. The one-hour series will begin production in August, traveling to Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Chang Mai before heading home.
The five will navigate their way through each city — communicating with the local population, immersing themselves in local traditions and enjoying exotic food — all the while dealing with the unexpected twists and turns that any trip presents. As they check off items on their own personal “bucket list,†the five will rely on each other for support and encouragement and, in the process, demonstrate that friendship is the ultimate gift.
Doesn’t that sound like it will be happy day whenever it airs? Hopefully, it won’t jump the shark like one of Winkler’s other shows!

CBS announced when their old shows will be back today and when their news will make their debut. The season starts off on Monday, September 21st with The Big Bang Theory, new comedy Life in Pieces, last year’s huge hit Scorpion and NCIS: LA. Then on the next night Limitless asks you to swallow it up like a pill. The next new show to hit the lineup is Code Black on Sunday, September 30th. On Monday, November 2nd, Supergirl, the most anticipated show of the fall season flies on to our TVs. Normally, I would say a show that starts that late in the season, has very little chance of survival, but the show is already a critics’ darling. After watching the pilot, I concur with my cohorts. Which brings me to the final show of theirs to hit the airwaves, that one is Angel From Hell on November 5th. Remember what I said about shows that debut that late in the season, well, that one needs a lot of heavenly help to not be replaced by one of the 3 comedies (2 Broke Girls, The Odd Couple and Mike & Molly) waiting for a place to call home by January the latest.

Renee Zellweger, is that you? |

When we think of Bryan Adams, we think of him as a singer. But there is another side of him, and that is being a phenomenal photographer.
Recently, he photographed Renee Zellweger for Zoo Magazine and she looks amazing. She looks different again, but he captured something about her that you can tell is straight from the heart.
In 1995, he sang Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? Twenty years later you can tell that he has with his camera.

Miley Cyrus is vajazzeled |
| June 9th, 2015 under Miley Cyrus. [ Comments: none ]

| Yesterday, we saw the cover of Paper Magazine with a nude, muddied Miley Cyrus with her pig and today we are seeing what the photos look like inside the magazine. Just like Kim Kardashian, she is completely nude. Unike Kim, hers are full of color. Just like Kim’s they are disgusting and degrading to women, so I am going to share the one with her vajazzeled. If you want to see the rest of the pictures, them go to Paper.
Now we know the magazine costs $10, it is basically a porno mag like Hustler.
