Earlier this month, Teen Nick cancelled Degrassi and the show announced it is moving to Netflix. As the long running teen drama prepares for it’s move, some of the original TNG cast members got together to shoot promo and shared some photos from their reunion.
How cool is it to see Spinner (Shane Kippel), Paige (Lauren Collins), Craig (Jake Epstein) and Marco (Adamo Ruggiero) together again. Maybe Netflix would consider giving them their own show and follow them around as they try to survive in LA. I’d watch, wouldn’t you?
Recently on Jeopardy, Alex Trebeck asked the contestants, “In the theme to this ’90s sitcom, ‘I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 & I yelled to the cabbie, ‘Yo, homes, smell ya later!'” But the game show host didn’t just read answer, he rapped the part in quotes.
Let’s just say he won’t be switching jobs anytime soon, but it was a really good effort on his part. Will Smith would be proud.
Last week the Supreme Court made Same-Sex Marriage legal all over the United States and several people wondered how do you explain it to the kids. So Jimmy Kimmel Live went out on to the streets of Hollywood and asked kids if they know what gay marriage is. Not only do they know what it is, they don’t care. They think that everyone should get married if they want to.
What makes this video so precious is when the interviewer asked them why people should get married and if they plan on tying the knot some day. Watch the segment all the way through because the last kid is going to grow up to be a great divorce lawyer or the World’s Best Husband! You tell me.
Last week Dick Van Patten passed away, and yesterday his former cast members got together to remember him. Even though it has been 34 years since the show ended, the surviving cast look just as close as they did when they played a family back in the late ’70s.
They reunion included (from L to R) Willie Aames, Dianne Kay, Laurie Walters, Connie Newton, Adam Rich, Betty Buckley, Brian Patrick Clarke(?), Grant Goodeve and Joan Prather. Missing is Lani O’Grady, who passed away in 2001, and Susan Richardson, who has suffered with many health issues.
Even though they reunited for a sad occasion, it truly is great to see them all together again looking so happy and good.
