The first full trailer is out for the Entourage movie and I think people who weren’t fans of the show will want to go see it when it comes out on June 12th. At least that is how I feel about it. It looks like they threw caution to the wind and went for it and beyond. Are you going to see it when it comes out?
Before Bridgit Mendler was old enough to work at a bar on Undateable, she was just a teenager on General Hospital. How awwwwdorable was the 13 year old in that 2006 episode?
On April 28th, Josh Groban is releasing an album full of his interpretation of some of the most iconic Broadway tunes and movie musical numbers. Stages includes songs like Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz and What I Did for Love from A Chorus Line, but in a way that personifies his boisterous voice.
Another song off the record is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’s Pure Imagination and he just released the music video for it. I will openly admit, he is no Gene Wilder; but he comes really close. I just love the control that Groban has over his voice as he belts out the beautiful haunting tune. Plus, the way he hits the high notes, it’s like I found the Golden Ticket and got to eat the chocolate bar too.
Don’t you just love the way he used his pure imagination to make Pure Imagination come to life in his own special way?

Bridgit Mendler spent most of her career working on Disney shows like Good Luck Charlie. Now that she is old enough to drink, she is changing things up and playing a waitress at a bar on NBC’s very dateable Undateable tonight and every Tuesday at 9p.
Does the actress think her fans will follow her over to the much more adult sitcom? Recently, at the NBC TCA Winter Day, she said, “I mean, so far they’ve been excited, which I’m glad about.” Then she added, “I see a lot of social media stuff from them. I’m hoping that they enjoy it. I mean, obviously, it’s a different kind of comedy. So I’m thinking that it will more be something that the older fans will gravitate towards, but I think it’s genuinely funny. So I’m assuming that my fans will as well.”
Talking about social media, the cast and crew are seeing the upside of being on a show with her. Rick Glassman said, “Half my followers are now Bridgit-bots.” David Flynn added, “We all get aggressive tweets from Brazil and Argentina.” Then Brent Morin chimed in with, “Yeah, from 11 year old girls.”
Bill Lawrence, who created the show, knows the power of her younger fans because his kids are “suddenly interested” in Undateable. He joked that they are much more impressed with her than him. But no matter what any father does, the kids are never impressed with him at that age. Thus, he shouldn’t feel bad.
When it comes to Mendler’s age, Lawrence says that they have has to explain some of the jokes to her because she is too young to understand them. To make you feel old, she didn’t know what a payphone is and she never heard the song Old Man River. So if she doesn’t get it, neither will her younger fans. But that shouldn’t stop them from watching because the one thing they will get is the giggles. That’s because, Undateable is a show that every one of every age can find something to laugh about. They might not get all of the jokes, but they will get a lot of them.
When it comes to Mendler as Candance, she definitely has added a new brand of humor to the humorous show. So make sure to tune in to see her and the rest of the gang on NBC tonight.
Yesterday was the debut of The Late Late Show with James Corden and CBS called in a lot of favors to make sure his opening bit was filled with big named celebrities. The bit explained how he got the job and it was Willy Wonka-esque as in people who were rumored for the position searched for the Golden Ticket. When Chelsea Handler accidentally dropped her chocolate bar, Corden found it and got the Golden Ticket aka job. The Wonka of the segment was Jay Leno and he helped to prep the CBS late night host for his job. When the former Tonight Show host was done with the training, he declared, “In three months, this show will be mine.” It’s not like Leno hasn’t done it before… But I don’t think he would really go for it? Or would he???
Another fun thing the show did last night on CBS at 12:35a was they had guest, Tom Hanks, reenact a lot of his movies with Corden in just under 7 minutes. The only negative is it included a lot of his newer movies, and I forgot how horrible they were. I actually blocked Road to Perdition out of my mind until they brought it up. I also wish they would’ve included two of his most popular TV show appearances, Bosom Buddies and Family Ties. Who didn’t down some Vanilla Extract as kid after they saw him on Family Ties?
When it comes to The Late Late Show with James Corden, it reminded me a lot of Jimmy Kimmel Live’s Oscar specials. Even Kimmel can only do those one night year, so it will be interesting to see how Corden does next week when the thrill of his debut week is over. What did you think of his first show?
