Today on Today, they had on Dover police officer Master Cpl. Jeff Davis, who became a viral sensation for singing Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off into his dashcam. Carson Daly wanted to know how it came about and he found out that his department did it to give police officers all over the world some positive attention. They succeeded!
Well, you can’t have on the singing policeman and not have him sing; so that is just what they did. Daly joined him for part of it and now we know why he is only hosting The Voice. You know because he doesn’t have one. We all can’t sing, so at least he found a way to still be part of the music industry that he loves so much.
And when it comes to Jeff Davis, how can you not love him? I wouldn’t mind getting pulled over by him. Well, only if he gives me a warning because no one wants a ticket.
Fergie shared this photo of herself with Patrick Demarchelier, Serge Normant and Paul Cavaco and she was not the center of attention in it to me. I couldn’t stop looking at Demarchelier’s fantastic eyebrows. But they didn’t catch my attention as much as seeing Cavaco check out Mrs Josh Duhamel’s lovely lady lumps. Could he be any more obvious?

Last week at the opening of Tony Danza’s new Broadway show, Honeymoon in Vegas, some of his old friends came to support him. Those old friends are the surviving members of their show Taxi, actors Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner, Christopher Lloyd, Judd Hirsch, Carol Kane and Rhea Perlman, director James Burrows and producer James L Brooks. Since Taxi is one of my all time favorite shows and I love watching repeats on MeTV, this reunion brought a huge smile to my face.
To see Tony, Louis, Elaine, Reverend Jim, Alex, Simka and Zena together again with huge smiles on their faces make me wish they would do a reunion show together. We can see where our favorite cabbies are now. Maybe Louis and Zena got married? Tony became a boxer and is living off endorsements. Alex runs the cab company and he’s married to art studio manager, Elaine. While Reverend Jim was performing a same-sex wedding, he met someone who offered him the perfect job. The ideas are limitless and I hope someone makes it a reality. Too bad Latka (Andy Kaufman), Bobby (Jeff Conaway) and Jeff (J. Alan Thomas) won’t be able to join in, but they will be there in spirit.
Seriously though, how awesome is it to see a full cast, get together, to support one of their own, 31 years after their show ended. There are aren’t too many shows that can say that.
Jimmy Kimmel has wanted to be on The Bachelor for a while now and on Monday he finally got the chance. One of the things he was looking forward to was taking one of those shirtless showers. Instead of doing it alone, he had Chris Soules join him. The two man lathered up and as the rose giver was toweling off the ABC late night host, he couldn’t control his laughter. Can’t same I blame him because I couldn’t control my laughter either.
Jennifer Lopez was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the daytime talk show host scared her. To say that J-Lo didn’t like it would be an understatement, and because of that I enjoyed it very much. What I enjoyed even more is that her Jenny from the Block side came out. For the first time, I actually felt like the two of us grew up in the same Borough. Up until now she didn’t act like a true Bronx girl. Maybe if she acted like that more often, I might actually like her. Nah, who am I kidding?
