Jack Bauer and Louie are finally back tonight! |
May 5th, 2014 under Fox, FX, Kiefer Sutherland. [ Comments: none ]

After 4 years of waiting for Jack Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) return, fans of 24 are finally getting what they want tonight at 8p on Fox with the two premiere of 24: Live Another Day.
Since Bauer left our airwaves, he has been off the grid too. But suddenly he surfaces again in London, the same exact time that the President of the United States is there. The CIA thinks he is there to assassinate the POTUS, so are they right? Has Bauer changed that much? You just have to tune in to find out in this 12-hour special event.
We might only be getting a half a day, but we are also getting twice the excitement.
Then at 10p switch the dial over to FX where another fan favorite returns after an extended hiatus. Louis CK is back with Louie, and good things come to those who wait.
At 10p, Louie goes to buy a dildo and winds up hurting his back. Now he has to get an old lady to help him out. And guess what is the best thing for a bad back? The thing that caused his back to go out in the first place.
Then at 10:30p, Jerry Seinfeld asks the comedian to open for him at a benefit in The Hamptons. He says yes, but will quickly wish he didn’t. He bombs so badly, it is painful to watch. But at least he meets model, who wants to has sex with him. Which would be a good thing except it turns into a Sex Sent Me to the ER episode. Who is hospitalized? You just have to tune in to find out and to laugh your a$$ off.

Ron Moss comes back to soap operas! |

There’s some good news and some bad news for soap opera fans. The good news is that Ron Moss is returning to daytime TV after a two year absence. The bad news is he’s going to General Hospital according to Soap Opera Digest and not to The Bold and The Beautiful. What he will be doing and how long he will be there is unknown, but according to SOD the B&B original starts on the show this week. That has to be a big blow to fans of the CBS show, who are probably singing Baby Come Back to them right about now. How upset are you that he is going to GH instead of B&B?
Hey GH, now would be a great time to get Rick Springfield back on the daytime drama so the two singers/actors can do a duet together. Who else is feeling that besides me?

The Simpsons’ Legos episode took 2 years to make, and it’s worth every second! |

Tonight at 8p on Fox, The Simpsons are doing something they have never done before. Springfield and all of its residents are getting the Lego treatment. That’s right, our favorite animated family is going to become one of favorite toys when we were growing up. It is such a delight to see this happen to them that I will declare that the 550th episode is one of the best ones that have ever done. And I have seen all 550 of them.
Homer Simpson wakes up and everyone and everything around him is Legos. But to him this is normal. That is until he buys Lisa a toy, and he flashes back to his old self. Will he stay in the Lego world or will he come back to his own? You just have to tune in for this very heartwarming episode to find out.
Turning the town of Springfield into Legoland was not an easy job for them. In fact according to the Executive Producers, Al Jean and Matt Selman, it took them two years to make. Jean told us on a conference call earlier this week, “I’ll just say I think it was a beautiful product and it was I think about as labor intensive as any episode Simpsons has ever done.”
Even though it was labor intensive, they make it look like it was easy to combine the CGI and hand drawn animation seamlessly. According to Jean, it might even be the first time it has be done. Since it has never been done before the animators had to learn some new skills to make it happen. They also to change countries for the making of this episode. Normally the show is made in Korea, but for this one they used animators from India. Selman says the learning curve was worth it, because “they really pulled it off beautifully on the technical and the creative side.”
When it comes to the creative side of it all, Selman wants you to watch it again and again. The first time watch it as you would any Simpsons episode. Then watch it again, to see if you can catch all the “funny little LEGO reference background jokes.” Then he added some things to keeps yours open for, “like the photos in the back to like stuff in the church to the love tester at Mo’s.”
They really wanted to reward their viewers with this Lego episode, and boy did they! So make sure to set your DVRs to record the episode, so that you can watch it over and over and over again. Partially to enjoy it as the fantastic episode that it is and then again to see how Legofied they made it.
