Yesterday CBS announced that they picked up The Big Bang Theory for 3 more seasons and today they said that 18 of their current shows will also be joining that one in the fall.
Those 18 shows that are joining TBBT and Survivor are, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, Mom, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, The Millers, Two and a Half Men, Undercover Boss, Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, Amazing Race, The Good Wife, 60 Minutes and 48 Hours. So what is missing? Still waiting to find out there fate are The Mentalist, The Crazy Ones, Intelligence and the yet to air Friends with Better Lives.
I get why they picked up everything except I don’t understand why they renewed the depressing Mom over the delightfully funny The Crazy Ones. I bet they are waiting to see how Friends with Better Lives does before they make a decision, but still I would rather have more of Robin Williams, Sarah Michelle Gellar and James Wolk over Mom and How I Met Your Dad. You know, they are going to pick up the latter even though the original has been beyond painful to watch for the last several years. Why are we seriously still watching How I Met Your Mother?
