White Collar sentenced to a 6 episode final season
March 20th, 2014 under USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

USA is set to announce that White Collar will be ending after this shortened six-episode sixth season according to Deadline. The online trade says that even though the show was still successful, it was just too expensive for the network to keep.
As extremely sad as I am to see the show go, I am sure the two leads will be happy to move on. Matt Bomer will have more time to pursue a movie career and Tim DeKay can return to the West Coast to be with his family. During a conference call last year, when I asked DeKay how much longer he could do the show, he hinted that he might not renew his contract when it was up after the 7th season. If the show filmed closer to his home, he also implied he would’ve done the show as long as it lasted.
Personally, I really think USA is making a mistake by not spending a few extra buck to keep this show going. Their new dramas have not proven to be breakout hits like this one still is. With White Collar set to end and Psych ending next week, Suits and Royal Pains are the only dramas I will still be watching on the network. Which doesn’t sound that bad; but considering I used to watch all of their original programming, it is.

Regis Philbin really let himself go!
March 20th, 2014 under Jimmy Kimmel, Regis Philbin. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since Regis Philbin stopped doing Live with Regis and Kelly, we haven’t seen that much of him. Well, yesterday he came out of hiding on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he really let himself go. I mean, he didn’t get fat; but he has grown his hair out and also a long scraggly beard. I guess if you are not on television everyday, you don’t have to get a haircut or shave and you can look like the hermit you have become.
Now, having said all of that, Regis was just wearing a wig and fake beard to play Gd on the ABC late night talk show. This is a good example where writing a lie is so much better than telling the truth.

This contestant’s wheely fortunate guess on Wheel of Fortune
March 20th, 2014 under Game Shows, Wheel of Fortune. [ Comments: none ]

Emilbert deLeon was playing the Bonus Round on Wheel of Fortune yesterday and he only got the first two letters from the phrase to help him solve the puzzle. Believe it or not, he was able to do it, just from NE_ ____ _____ on his very first try. Pat Sajak told him to guess, and the first thing that came to his mind was NEW BABY BUGGY and that was the Thing that was up there. How he got it, no one knows. But what we do know is that his expression is absolutely priceless.
Not only did he get $45,000 for solving it, but he also got frisked from Sajak. What a really lucky guy!
BTW I wonder if used his earnings to buy a new baby buggy. At least he should purchase one as a constant reminder of his awesome feat!

Hey Weird Al is that a dolphin between your legs, or are you happy to see me?
March 20th, 2014 under In Your Pocket?, Weird Al Yankovic. [ Comments: none ]

Weird Al Yankovic Instagrammed this photo of himself of a dolphin kiddie ride; and it’s just so cute that I had to share with you. Wonder if after he rode that fish, he went inside to stomp on some weasels?
Even I will admit that my joke was White & Nerdy, but in my defense at the time I thought it made the cut Like a Surgeon. OK, I’ll stop now before you send me to an Amish Paradise.
