Fame Flynet
Jeremy Renner is filming his new movie American Hustle and I can’t stop looking at his hair. It’s like they gave him Donald Trump’s hairdo and it’s just as ugly on him. Although Hawkeye looks so much better with it.
Matthew Perry tried to get over the pain of the cancellation of his very funny show Go On by going to see his precious LA Kings, and all was going well because they won. But then when he was being interviewed Dan Moriarty, the Fox Sports reporter said to him “Big news today and congratulations are in order.” Without missing a beat my favorite Friend said, “Oh thank you! You’re talking about my show getting cancelled.” Then the world’s worst reporter sat there with a huge grin on his face and nodded his head in affirmation. But Mr Sunshine didn’t let him rain on his parade, as he said “It was a sad day because of the people. I’m going to miss them. But this show that I was doing was really getting in the way of some Kings games, so I am OK.” And ladies and gentlemen that is why I think NBC really f*cked up by giving Seth Meyers Late Night instead of Perry. He is very quick witted, well liked and can really role with the punches and that is what makes a good late night talk show host.
I mean how stupid is that reporter. If I were Fox Sports, I would fire that schmuck’s a$$ and bring Jody Jackson over from Phoenix. She is a million times better than that idiot.
Fox announced this fall/spring lineup and I am perplexed by where they placed certain shows. They are airing Bones on Mondays to launch Sleepy Hollow and then they are moving it to Fridays. When it moves to the dreaded night it will be the lead in to Raising Hope and another sitcom. Which makes no sense to me because they are not a good fit together. I mean for me it is a positive because my two favorite shows on the net are paired together, but I just hate that they are on the throw away night. Glee will air in its old slot before being given a long hiatus. The musical comedy will be replaced by a show that I think is an awful pairing with the results shows of those two singing competitions. It made sense that Glee was with The X Factor and American Idol, but a drama that skews older makes no sense to me. Even comedies would be better fit, but what do I know. I also think holding The Following until the midseason will cause the show to lose some of its following. It is their hottest show, so they should get it back on the air ASAP and not hold it until the spring. And where the heck is my Kitchen Nightmares? Fox needs more Gordon Ramsay in the fall because one show is not enough for me. Finally I think Fox made a huge mistake by keeping The X Factors results show on Thursday. I think Simon Cowell’s show is going to drop big time in the ratings and they will really regret their choice. Airing only on night has been working for So You Think You Can Dance, why won’t it work for The X Factor?
So here is their new schedule:

Barbara Walters announced tonight that she is retiring next summer. She told ABC News, “I am very happy with my decision and look forward to a wonderful and special year ahead both on ‘The View’ and with ABC News. I created ‘The View’ and am delighted it will last beyond my leaving it.†Then when she talked about what she will be doing after she says goodbye to television, “I do not want to appear on another program or climb another mountain,†Then she added, “I want instead to sit on a sunny field and admire the very gifted women — and OK, some men too — who will be taking my place.â€
But before she says her goodbye, we will still be able to see her anchor and report for ABC News, appear on The View and anchor specials throughout the year including a 20 Years of 10 Most Fascinating People in December, an Oscars special, and a May career retrospective.
With all of that coming up, I am not sure if I will miss her yet. But what I do know, is what an amazing career the 83 year old has had. One any newsperson would dream to have.
