The American version of The X Factor can’t keep a judge on the show, who isn’t the singing competition’s creator, because the only other original is leaving the show. First Cheryl Cole was fired before the show even debuted last year. Then after the first season was done, so were Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The second’s season panel consisted of returning judges Simon Cowell and LA Reid, and newcomers Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. When the show returns next fall, at least one of them won’t be there. When the Randy Jackson clone was asked if he would be back, he told Access Hollywood, “I have decided that I will not to return to The X Factor next year.” He then explained, “I have to go back. I have a company to run that I have kind of neglected. It saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit.” My translation of that, I thought the show was going to make more well known and give me a few more great artists and it hasn’t done neither, so I will go back to where I am true success.
What do you think of his departure? Will you miss him? Or were you like who is he? Or was it that show is still on the air? And it is coming back for another season?
Almost a third of a century after Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari started working together on a little show called Bosom Buddies, they are teaming up again for another project next year. Buffy and Hildegarde, I mean Kip and Henry, will be starring in Lucky Guy on Broadway. According to Playbill the Nora Ephron play is about “the scandal- and graffiti-ridden New York of the 1980s, as told through the story of the charismatic and controversial tabloid columnist Mike McAlary (Hanks). From his sensational reporting of New York’s major police corruption to the libel suit that nearly ended his career, the play dramatizes the story of McAlary’s meteoric rise, fall and rise again, ending with his coverage of the Abner Louima case for which he won the Pulitzer Prize, shortly before his untimely death on Christmas Day, 1998.”
The play begins previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on March 1st and opens on my birthday April 1st. So I will try my hardest to be a lucky girl and see Lucky Guy on my B-day because I have had such crushes on both of them because of that sitcom and that would be my perfect gift!
Seriously how awesome is that they have remained Bosom Buddies for all of these decades!
BTW I found out about this story from Holland Taylor aka their old boss/partner Ruth Dunbar on Twitter!
Jimmy Kimmel Live likes to interview people outside their studio on Hollywood Blvd and yesterday kids were their interviewees! They asked the little ones if they knew the story of Christmas and you would be surprised by their answers. Let’s just say they should be very happy that Santa is deciding what they get under the tree and not Jesus because if that were the case there would be a lot of coal being delivered this year!
On January 17th Anger Management is back on FX and Selma Blair is wearing a lot less clothes. Looks like the new mom has even more cruel intentions for Charlie Sheen this season, not only will she dress like a naughty school girl, she also dresses as the devil! Who knew this actress that appears to be so innocent, could also be so bad?
On Tuesday Conan O’Brien brought back a Chanukah tradition from last year, The Human Centipede Menorah and yesterday it was back again! This time the 9 men dressed in the silver skin tight suits attached at the a$$ were not alone. The R2-D2 Dreidel was there to give his spin on the holiday! And who else besides me went “Oh, Jesus” when they saw the Star Wars robot come out.
Part of me wonders what will he do next and the other part is afraid of what he will do next…
