Tonight at 10p TNT asks three teams of two to escape from the inescapable on The Great Escape and you will you be so caught up in the action you won’t be able to escape this show. Each week they will go to a notorious location like Alcatraz and USS Hornet and the teams will have to make it to the end goal to claim the prize of $100.000. They will be locked in a room and will have to find the key that will set them free. Once they are out, they will get a clue to go to the next round and try to break free from that place. There are four rounds, each harder than the last until they finally reach their destination. But it is not as easy as it sounds because there are guards on the look out and if they catch the team on the loose that team has to go back to beginning and start all over again.
The Great Escape is the most thrilling competition show I ever seen. It is such a fast paced hour that you will be exhausted just because you watched it. I love it so much that it is the first reality competition, I actually want to audition for but I won’t because I would totally suck at it.
Alex Trebek suffered a mild heart attack yesterday and he is expected to make a full recovery. According to The Hollywood Reporter he is expected to be back at work on Jeopardy’s 29th season when it begins production next month. This is the game show host’s second heart attack, and just like now back in 2007 he was back at work in a few weeks.
Let’s hope for what is a speedy recovery.
Courteney Cox goes behind the camera tonight to tell the story of deadly online love triangle in Lifetime’s TalHotBlond. Thomas Montgomery (Garrett Hillahunt) decides to play online poker with some friends, but when a young woman invites him to a private chat his life will change forever. The happily married father of two will find himself falling for the high school student and will have an online affair with her for over a year. He tells her that he is teenage Marine who is going overseas to fight for our country and she decides to send him a care packages. One of those packages will be intercepted by his wife (Laura San Giacomo), who blows his cover and now the teen doesn’t want anything to do with him. TalHotBlond then starts an online affair with one Thomas’ coworkers who is much closer to her age and he can’t have that. He will do the unthinkable to stop the two from meeting. Once the only obstacle is out of his way, he will make a discovery no one will see coming. As interesting as this movie is, I just wish the movie would’ve focused more on the twist then the set up. Don’t get me wrong I was thoroughly engrossed in the movie, but the ending is what makes the real life story so much more shocking that you want to know more about it. So tune in for a movie that makes you wonder who is behind the instant messaging screen. That and to see Hillahunt do a brilliant job in a role that is nothing like the grandfather we watch every week on Raising Hope. He seriously blew me away.
Tonight at 9p Syfy goes buggy with Arachnoquake. New Orleans experiences an earthquake, but the ground shaking is not the worst part. The quake has unleashed prehistoric spiders on to the city and they can breath fire. Spiders that can hurl fire at you sounds pretty awful, but did I mention they are whole lot bigger than your average eight-legged bug? Now it is up to tour guide Paul (Bug Hall), Roy, his disapproving dad (Ethan Phillips) and passenger Katelynn (Tracey Gold) to stop these killer spiders before they kill all of us. Will they be able to do it or will we all be spider food? Tune in to Griff Furst’s latest Syfy exciting thriller to find out.
BTW if you have any cobwebs in your house remove them before you watch the film because the last thing you will want to see is a spider after this horror movie.
Last season on The Voice Cee Lo Green was all about his white Persian pussycat Purrfect The Cat, but now he has tossed her aside for a Lady. Actually Lady is the name of his new mascot, a pink cockatoo. As a cat lover I don’t know how I feel about this switch-a-roo, but Purrfect does and she is letting her feelings be heard. Here is the catty response she Tweeted about her replacement, “Have to say, @CeeLosLady is pretty…for a bird. Don’t see HER in Papa @CeeLoGreen’s lap now do ya? =^..^= ‪#JustSayin” She then added, “……pretty delicious. ‪#OkIllStop‬ ‪#JustKitten” I don’t think she is kitten, do you? I bet she is hissing one her daddy’s songs to her pops…you know the one I am talking about. And I am not referring to the PG-13 version of the chart topper.
I think we need to start a petition to get Purrfect back on the show. We need more pussy on the NBC singing competition and less birds. I don’t know what that means either, but basically I am saying we want Purrfect back.
Seriously someone needs to tell Cee Lo that Lady would make a great feathered boa, because I am sure once someone does our feline friend will be back faster than you can say Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
